Toxic Behavior and the Need for Rule Enforcement on Otland

Hello everyone,

I want to open a serious discussion about the increasing toxicity within the Otland community and the apparent lack of rule enforcement. Over the past nine days, I have conducted an in-depth analysis of a single user:

After reviewing over 3,000 of his messages, I found that nearly 90% of them consist of off-topic comments, personal attacks, and misleading statements—often completely unrelated to the discussion at hand. More than half of his posts contain false information presented without evidence, and if my calculations are correct, at least 1,781 of his messages violate Otland’s main rules and sub-forum guidelines.

At this point, I have to ask: Does Otland still enforce its rules, or has it become a place where favoritism dictates what is allowed? Reporting violations, even with direct excerpts from the rulebook and clear justifications, seems to achieve nothing. If the rules are not being upheld, wouldn’t it be simpler to remove them altogether?

I understand that some may dismiss this as a trivial topic. However, I am deeply concerned about the state of this community. If this continues, I will seriously consider migrating to a more professionally moderated forum. I also anticipate responses such as "Haha, what an idiot!"—which would only confirm my point that the majority of remaining users seem unable to engage in constructive discussion.

I would sincerely appreciate a response from the Administration or Moderators regarding this matter.

Rules That Are No Longer Enforced:​

Trolling (General Rules, point 3)
False Information & Misinformation (Server Gala – Rules about replying to a thread)
Spamming / Repetitive Messaging (General Rules, point 2)
Off-Topic / Irrelevant Posts (General Rules, point 1)

These rules are not being respected anymore—not just in my case, but in multiple threads dating back to 2021. If enforcement is no longer a priority, then why pretend the rules exist?

I look forward to hearing thoughts from the community—and more importantly, from the Otland staff.

I also recommending logging out from here. The only people left on Otland are trolls living in their moms basement. Their sole source of pleasure in life comes from talking shit to strangers on the internet.
No server is ever good enough (something they know without ever playing it somehow), and they never do anything to contribute.

You are the one who should leave otland and get some fresh air as soon as possible. Btw: there's nothing wrong about living with your parents.

Yeah you are right. I don't play that much tibia anymore. Usually just a few days a year.
I am currently playing Lloegrys, an Unique Roguelite Experience (https://otland.net/threads/lloegrys-an-unique-roguelite-experience.290635/) where i give plenty of feedback on the servers Discord.

Giving feedback on servers i don't play is not my thing, unlike others here.

We actively enforce Otland’s rules along with the specific rules that apply to individual boards. Although most moderators are active on the forum daily, we do not monitor every post in real time. Instead, we depend primarily on user reports and our own observations to identify and remove content that violates our policies. Thus, it is inevitable that some issues may go undetected.

There is no rule about false information in the server gala rules unless I am missing something. Anyhow, since verifying claims from either side would require detailed knowledge of every server and individual involved, we encourage you to challenge any such claims when they arise.
