After a year of development, Rivalia Online is officially launching on April 30th.​

Yes, yes, yes… You might be thinking, “Great, another so-called 7.4 server claiming to be true to the classics, bringing back nostalgia, and offering that old-school Tibia experience.” Well, let me stop you right there.

This isn’t that server.

We’re not here to pretend we’re just another clone of the original. We’re not claiming to be “true 7.4,” nor are we interested in recycling what’s already been done a hundred times. There are plenty of servers out there for that.

This is a custom server, and we’ll never claim to be anything else. We’re building something unique, a world shaped by creativity, not just replication. We’ve got patience. We’ve got vision. And we’re just getting started.

Yes, you’ve probably seen some of our systems before on other servers, and that’s fine. In my opinion, those are just the bare minimum any decent OT should offer. That’s the foundation. This is where it begins. There’s much more to come.

And when we say more, we mean especially in areas that matter: guild systems and PvP. These won’t be afterthoughts, we’re putting real effort into creating systems that evolve with the community and push boundaries. Whether you're here for the wars, the strategy, or the social depth of guild life, we’ve got plans that go beyond the usual.

So why not just make another 7.4 clone, like everyone else?
Simple: because I don’t want that.

Built on the foundation of classic 7.4 mechanics, Rivalia offers a modernized experience without losing its old-school soul. Players can seamlessly switch between HD retro and Tibia-style graphics, offering both nostalgia and a fresh look for newcomers.
Note: The graphics you will be able to see at first are simple, like: Fire, Items, Spell Effects, Monsters, it will be expanded slowly and carefully, hoping in the future it will become 100% retro graphics and 100% new custom graphics (Tibia graphics will be changed, of course)

Explore an entirely new continent, master unique custom spells, and set sail with our brand-new boat navigation system that brings ocean content to the game for the first time. The server is designed to be fair and long-term focused. I wouldn't consider it pay-to-win, there's some QoL features people may like, but never at the cost of real progression.

The game will include all Tibia content until Svargrond content, from there on... The new continent of Garona awaits the newcomers, with new adventures, quests, respawns and creatures.

We also expanded a bit into some custom spells and new mechanics for every vocation, Cleave Bash would be an example of a new feature, it's a new Knight mechanic thought for the solo knight players using Two Handed Weapons, of course it comes with its restrictions which involve blocks to casting challenge spells and damage increase incoming from the monsters, it's also not available in PVP, here's quick demonstration of how it currently works.

custom sprites look good, new mechanics are interesting, and the client modules seem well made. Definitely gonna give it a try!
 
Interested to see how the mix of ravendawn/tibia gameplay will be. The boats look cool, and I’m excited to see how the crafting will be. interesting looking server, ready for the launch!
 
This is exactly what I have, more or less, been waiting for. A server with a 7.4 foundation, but with actual custom additions. I have high hopes for this server and a lot of the features it brings. I hope the profession system is made well, because I'm a sucker for professions.
The wand & staff system also looks interesting. I really hope this is the server I can stay on for a long time.
 
Just learned about the server. I have read throughout entire wiki and I gotta say things are looking fresh and great. Very curious how custom experience table is going to work out. Cool new concepts, "standard" features handled neatly.

I also like creators' mindset. Sparks hope for successful long-term OT. Can't wait to try it out!

Map Travel Function - Lets you travel from Town A to Town B, with just a right click on the boat NPC, you can chose your destination, there are hidden destinations you first need to "discover", after that area is discovered, then you will be able to travel.

Looking forward to the custom content as well as the QOL features! I think I saw on the wiki that mana potions won't be on hotkey? If that's true, I hope there will be some solutions to not having mana potions on hotkeys - like maybe mana pots that you use once and they regen with 5x ticks for higher lvls.

Either way, definitely will try this out!
 
I hope to see a good turn-out this server, been hoping for a solid long term server! Looks like there's gonna be a lot of cool stuff to explore, I can't wait to try out the ships on open water and all the other custom features! I expect this will be just what i've been waiting for.

Theres alchemy potions that can be crafted and grant more instant mana, but in the future as the game advances and people require it, we will introduce a bigger mana potion with a 10 second cooldown probably, we have to see how the game advances!

Well, been playing a lot of OT's so why not try this one?
It looks good, I love the big map, mechanics, and BOATS?
Also I like to play the RPG side of these ot's and having crafting, atributes... looks good to me!

Hey! Thanks for taking the time and interest, I can answer those questions right away.

1. Yes, we took the task of downgrading a 10.98 engine and data pack into a 7.4 mechanics, with some of Tibia's current map, the mechanics include:

  • No Hotkeys
  • No Aim-Assist
  • UH Traps are disabled: I know its a core 7.4 mechanic, but we believe thats just an unfair way to die.
  • Death Penalty is exactly the old 7.4 formula
  • Parcels/Boxes have the same behaviour as 7.4, where you can stack them 1/2/3 and run towards them, or if you walk into a 3 parcel you get blocked.
  • Non Stackable Runes
  • No PZ on Boats
  • Real exhaust/cooldowns between spells and healing

2. PvP is as was in 7.4, should be the exact same behaviour, about frags, we may change things a little bit, we don't intent to make another Tibiantis where there's only a limited amount of frags, and people only fight once a month. We want this to be a PvP server, and we intend to incentive that, we have been thinking in reducing the time frame between frag regeneration to 24 hours, instead of just setting more frags and then people could abuse the system and kill all newcomers.

3. For this exactly, to remain the long-term gameplay, more entertaining and interesting, we changed the experience formula in which players exp and level up, in this case, to see the new vs old levels, you can visit: New Formula

4. As of players speaking, we have seen people interested in the game, but there will not be any kind or market "normal" Tibia market in the depot, we intend to make a new questline which will involve the Thieves Guild and as a reward you will be able to put items for sale in this NPC, this would be a different, more interesting system than just the regular market.

5. We will be active, we are 4 developers in the team, 1 of them is a CM and will be taking care of this banning issues himself. Later we intend to implement an automated auto-ban system.

6. In this case we started with SLIGHTLY non p2w intent. There will be nothing in store that a player can take advantage off, the only thing i would consider p2w, is basically a training dummy, which has its own restrictions, but other than that, everything else will be obtained and traded in game.

7. We will always keep the 7.4 style mechanics, it wont evolve into any other kind of hotkey or stacked runes based game. Not our goal.

8. We have proxies protection with cloudflare, pre-walking system and will be 100% commited with the server stability, in some cases its understandable, even games like WoW tend to be attacked, but we are certain and hope we can mitigate those attacks the most we can.
 
Looks intresting!

A big part of 7.4 servers is the social aspect of the game. Selling training dummies will ruin and remove all of those skilling hours chatting with eachother.
