Synth you should make it so bards POWER CHORD dmg scales with the tier of its weapon because it seems each tier of weapon hits the same amount.
Not sure if that was intentional or not but it'd be nice to see a little more extra dmg as you upgrade your wep.

First off, let me say I’m sorry for my recent inactivity on the forums and the game. These last few weeks have been hectic as I have finals and it’s the holiday season.

My intentions with the way I’ve developed the server were not to make people feel like I’m restricting you from playing the game by using a ‘brick wall’ to slow progression. I recently put 10k+ experience rate lower than it should be to give me enough time to develop the content for levels 10-15k. It’s a lot harder than just throwing in a few maps and creatures and bosses because at this stage of the game, the “Elders” become really important.

Unfortunately the last update wasn't enough because I have a lot of people telling me they feel like there is a ‘lack of content’. I’ve learned from my last few patches that slowly releasing content that is quickly blown past is bad. If I kept developing the server with one week patches it will become very stale because it would just become a waiting game for the next patch.

The patch I’m currently working on will be the biggest patch coming to DeathZot as of yet. The next patch will include; Christmas Update, the completion of oblivion, the elders, the Illusionist vocation, and lock picking. I will also clean up fishing, figure out what I’m going to do with the event rewards room. And finally fix the event room system (this is long overdue).

The only thing I ask from you guys is how can I improve the server? I understand there are some vocation ‘imbalances’ based on what I’ve saw in the last few days. But other than that, what else could be added/changed to overall improve the quality of this server? But before you suggest something, please understand that the reason why the server becomes harder as it goes on is because I want this server to be around for a long time. I’ve invested a lot of my time into this server and I want to keep adding quality updates that keep the server fun and interesting (this is the reason behind removing revoc/rebirth).

Ultimately, you, the players, make this server what it is. You guys are the only reason why I continue to update/work on the server. This is why posts containing “syn this serv sux now, need 10k for t5, WTF!!!” are often ignored. I’m looking out for the server to try and make it balanced for everyone, overall. I’m not trying to frustrated you guys, I'm just looking out for DeathZot's future.

I've never thought about this, good idea. I'll look into it and see how I can scale the spell with the weapon.
 
Synthetic, I really think you should add tutors and/or community managers into the game. People you trust and that know the server. This isn't just to help new players, it's to create a middleman between player and GM. When GMs are offline 99% of the time it's hard to communicate concerns and doubts about the server, such as for example vocation balance, doubts about donations, suggestions, etc. They could also enforce the server rules and organize events and games to keep players happy. Hell, even if they don't have any GM powers and they simply talk to players, it would at least make players feel like someone of the staff listens to what they have to say, since right now most players get ignored when they try to talk to a staff, and when they complain about something they just get either ignored or blown off. Public relations are vital to a server and I don't think you're giving them enough importance.



...I just said in my previous post, literally, that it wasn't just to help players in game chat. Stuff like this is exactly what I'm talking about, it's like you didn't even read the rest of the post. Sometimes it feels like you don't even care about what the players think. People want to help the server man, yes even if they complain, otherwise they wouldn't say anything. If you're not doing the server for the players, who are you doing it for?

I don't mean to offend with this post, I'm just saying how many of the players feel.



I appreciate your interest but I don't think the first suggestion you mentioned is a good idea. An evasion-like spell (assuming it's like ninja's Evade) wouldn't help our tanking ability since we'd still end up dying to the same monsters as before, the only difference is that we'd survive a bit more if we're lucky, but depending on luck isn't a good idea for a tank. This is why I suggested reducing the cooldown of exura gran (which I still think is the best idea of increasing knight's survivability), since it doesn't depend on luck.
If Synthetic doesn't like that idea though, I was thinking of introducing spells that are much like WoW's stances, for example a buff spell that lasts until you log out or disable it (like utamo vitamora) that grants maybe -25% defence and +25% damage, and another one that grants +25% defence and -25% damage, and you can only use one at a time, this way knights can tank when they need to, and deal damage when they need to, but not at the same time. Of course these percentages are just an example, balancing the numbers can be done later on.
Either way I think we can all agree that knights really need a huge buff at this point. Right now knights are pretty much the vocation that deals the least damage (even less than barbs) and they aren't tanks at all either, I'd say half the vocations are tankier than knights. So what we have here isn't a "DPS/tank", it's a crappy tank with no DPS whatsoever.



Honestly, these ideas are the best, so far. I've talked to Radenk about the knight class quite a bit, and i think he's right.

As for the Tutor thing, it's not that they are functionally different then players that just help, it's that players might actually listen to someone with CM in front of their name. It's the IDEA of them. Someone that can take all the random complaints and bullshit and sort through them BEFORE they get to you, so you don't get spammed day after day with random "this server sucks" "make barbs better!" and stuff that is not constructive at all. They could also Report people who are abusing bugs, MC'ing in events, people who own multiple houses (if they can catch them) and other random rule breaking that is hard to catch, because you can't get on as often as you would like.

Sure, you would have to find people that you can trust, but really, with them having almost no commands (Maybe something like /report or /ticket for reporting players or reporting ideas that sound good, so you can sort through them) There's not much harm they could do. And if one of them tried to abuse their station, well, that's why you have more then 1. If one is being abusive, you have the other to report them.

I, personally, would suggest 5 or 6 of them, from all different timezones, and ones that are actually active, but maybe not necessarily the highest levels

Because there are Many players under 10k with no Mains over 10k that have to have a 10k player Merge their T5. your just a fucking retard on the matter.
So much so that your argument on why they dont need it is so failed when you yourself had to MERGE t5 for a lower player.

It's funny how you make Tormented and Warwick tutors when they both were luring fishing monsters to the temple to kill people, lol. The only reason they stopped was because of Xagul made a ninja and killed them.
 
I actually like all of the tutors . Even when they weren't tutors they would still answer my pms,and help me. Especially Radenk,Teloiv,Warwick :P



Btw Syn,my suggestion would be for u to make a single target spell for guardians. The only thing they can do is to spam ue,which isnt very good when fighting 1v1 ;P
