(From Mobile Device) Alright people, after making several calls and doing everything I could, I got some bad news/ good news for a lot of people. My internet is being taken care of as we speak but I won't be able to stop the attacks for another 24 hours. Thus, the server would potentially be available around 10 pm EST Sunday night. This is not a good peak time for many people and I really want everyone to get a fair and nice chance to start since I know there is A LOT of competition and competitiveness in this community.

Therefore, the new and exact time (You can quote me on this and I can get banned from OTLand if false) for ROA Alpha Testing will be held on Monday, March 4th 5pm EST. On the dot.

The only upset for this is.. you have to wait longer.. but it will be better than not being able to play or just logging in and not being able to walk.

Glad this is also taken care of right at the start of alpha testing, so this problem won't hopefully ever occur again when it actually matters.

Thank you everyone for your co-operation and understanding. This is probably very stressfull/upsetting to many people, but it's the only good option available.

Well that's kinda good news for me, at least now I know i'll be home when it goes up.

Well i would like to suggest that you change host to a EU one, Since the connection from a EU player to US is like totally damn trash. this is cuz US have the worst internet speed in the whole fucking world. I would say a average of 400-500 in ping for a EU player on US and if you change it to EU it would be around 120-140 for a US to EU.

Had the same exact thought. Actually real happy about reading that the release is on Monday @ 5.
Seems like a legit time for many people, like me!

The only thing I'm upset for is the OT community at the moment. Most of servers are just shitty and yet they want to keep players paying them so they DDoS every server which may have potential to be good. The saddest thing about this, is that there are still people which are good with that :/

That got to be one of the most stupid things i've ever seen. You do realise going from A to B or B to A covers the same distance? Not to mention it uses the same distrubution channels (servers).

Think twice before you try to correct someone. Yea its same distance but its not same speed. Please post your internet speed and i could post mine. EU got 10 times better internet than US got That why it wont lagg the same so please dont try to correct someone when you dont know a shit about it. If you dont think its smaller lagg please go into synthetics EU and check your ping there and i can post my ping on his us server

But yea idk why we write here when we can just prove it. Log into Synthetics server EU and check for yourself.
 
I was just posting my speed test haha! I obviously know EU server's have better connections to hosted EU server's, and NA to NA server's etc..
I also pay 170$ for TV, Phone & Internet. But I'm but that price come's in the premium package channel's my family watch (Sports Channels,Fuel TV,HBO,Starz,Cinemax,Showtime) the internet in the end is either 50-60USD.

God damn dude, doesnt matter if they got worse internet, What makes up the latency is the DNS Servers that connect the continents, and whether u go from europe to usa or usa to europe, you will go through those. Therefor it wont be a latency diffrence between
1. Host in usa- play in europe.
2 Host in europe - play in usa

The latency diffrence will be for higher for europe players if hosted in usa and same way otherway around. But the way you argue is completly irrational.
