I'm guessing you're not talking about American football.. But I bet it's most likely because it is a pretty simple sport to understand and everyone worldwide can play it because it doesn't require a lot of equipment

Today spanish teams are the most powerful.
Champions League will go to barcelona or madrid the next 3 years or so.

I find it fun to play but boring as hell to watch. I used to watch matches when I was younger but now I just can't do it, it's too damn boring and frustrating seeing the players playing theater rather than football.

I agree. Soccer is actually the most popular sport for young kids and all girls in the US.
Girls at all age are playing and enjoying soccer, but the guys move on as they get older and play in a more physical sport (american football, hockey, lacrosse, ect).
This is probably why we have world leading talent among women soccer players, but barely any of the men.
Watching soccer on TV is EXTREMELY boring, I'm sure many other Americans would agree with me, but going to a soccer match isn't so bad.
Soccer in the US is still minor competition among other sports, but it is GROWING, growing very fast.

If you find it boring to watch football, it's because you don't understand the beauty of the game.

There's a difference between understanding and appreciating.

Maybe it's because most of us understand that other sports are more appreciative than soccer.
Secondly, stop being so stereotypical, there are tons of soccer fans here, it's just not a majority like it is in Europe.
I'm sure you have American football fans in Europe, but it's not the majority.

I wish that rugby and American Football was more established in Europe, tackling is fun as hell :D

On the soccer matter: Chelsea is the best team ever. I fucking love their colours! When I see those blue and white players run down the field, damn!

There Chris, I went public, can I sleep in the bed now? the couch is giving me back problems.

Yes and yes. Apparently you enjoy tackles, therefor I'm sure you'll like Lacrosse.
