Some of you have servers that have really nice and great reasons to play it.

But why should we?

I can Think of a couple of things that they would or are providing. Like all other good servers.

.)Big custom and Beautiful map
.)Custom items
.)Custom monsters
.)Dungeons
.)Loads of quests
.)Great Lore.
.)Proffesion(Miner, blacksmith, fishing, etc)
----
.) A "complete" copy of Real Tibia.

If you want players to log in every single day and play, you should make them feel like they are missing out.
Example could be World of Warcraft - Reputation & factions - Daily quests and rewards in doing these things. New currency for those factions etc etc.

If i couldnt play every day at least once for the reputation quests and be the first for that specific mount, items that could make me walk on water or that special trinket that would increase my dps(damage per second) by 100, I'd feel like I MUST GET HOME. I MUST LOG IN! I Think you know what i mean by this.

Daily quests
.)
Get a small reward of some kind for logging in once a day(1x of X currency. Use 7x of this currency to buy your first mount, medium level items or w/e.)

.)
Kill X amount of players of at least +- 5 levels equal to yours. Reward 2x of X currency(Use this to buy pvp items) and open ONE of THREE CHESTs where you can get (Item, Currency, Currency), depending on which one you take.

.) Daily World bosses with a small drop chance of fun and good items. No need for quest for this one but you can only get drops from this once a day. You can kill the dude 100 times a day and help your friends but you will get drop once. (Lets say a low level boss could be a Bear Cave. Kill the Mother bear to get something that can be used for something you want or need to progress and get further).

More or less. If your awesome server makes me feel "Meh, i can play tomorrow" then there is something missing. Make me feel the need to log in every day because if i dont, im loosing on it.

FYI. Even Tibia is doing this in one way. Offline training. Offline training makes me log in once every 24h even if I dont play for 3 weeks.

I'll have the poll open for 30 Days. Cheers

Understand that those examples i give in main post is just examples. Does not need to fit in to your server. just give me a reason to log in every day or i'll miss out.

If you vote please tell me why you vote YES or NO.

For me, Tibia's about improving; the character, status, gathering resources, knowledge ... This is enough incentive to login, to get bigger, smarter, faster, stronger...
Not daily, but at my own pace. Afterall it is a game, with according priority.

What you suggest reminds me of other games I don't like, where daily tasks and events gain such easy, good rewards they require my full online time.
This is meant for players who don't know what to do. I prefer the freedom to choose my own path. Without having to feel I'm missing out.

As a developer, I try to avoid making logging daily mandatory.
Sure when you log in daily, compared to someone who logs in weekly, should be more awarded?
Well yeah, why not, I don't disagree on that, but the way you put this, you make it sound like ppl who log in daily should be far ahead compared to casual players.

I think player should choose themselves whenever they want to log in, not because of some reward timers.
If you want players to log in every single day and play, you should make them feel like they are missing out.
First and most common solution are content updates.
You wanted daily chores, but instead of making bulk of them to repeat automatically every day. I think adding new quests every month is more enjoyable.
Of course this doesn't mean you loose your favorite repetitive tasks, I'm sure to always put in some item collecting missions and monster killing tasks to every update along with some interesting things.

Good gameplay brings balanced competition. Competition is what keeps people coming back.
While you are offline, your "enemies" might find new secrets, learn to kill certain monsters or grind their way to top trough ranked pvp.
If you don't like to be one who is left behind you will want to return to game asap.

There is also a 1 important factor what very few people consider.
When you play a game, you motivate the developers and most often improve their game.
OTLand would never gotten so far if nobody would have played the servers.
If you find a server you would like to succeed and get even better, give constructive feedback and for every server update.
