Oh cmon, you shouldn't be playing 7.4 if you can't handle these minor setbacks :p 7.4 is hardcore :D
 
Once again this OT fails so hard, just fucking throw it in the dustbin already.
 
If you don't got the patience to deal with this, just wait a few days. Else stop crying. This isn't something "new". We all knew the risks. Instead of bashing the admins, encourage them to fix it.

There isn't much one can do with a shoestring budget.
The best thing one can do on a minimal budget is have a few VPSes act as login servers, and host the web site on one of them. But it's still not entirely secure, unless you can afford even more VPSes to act as load balancers.

This is what ALWAYS happens to OT when its released! Same thing happened to mastercores, tibianic and realots. Even rl tibia was getting ddosed from time to time. You don't have to play if you don't want to. Just stop whining

Fine if it crashes, but it's a bit annoying when you have to start over again and again.. Can't you implement some saving system, like "!save" that some OTs have.

When the server is getting DDoSed you dont lose anything if you die.

The server saves each 5 mins.
