SWORD ART ONLINE 2D-MMORPG - Official Discussion Thread [Based 1º Novel Chapter 1-14)

Played it for a little but sad to say I didn't really like it. You can't have such a custom concept like this and still use regular spells, items, and monsters with the exception of a few.
It just doesn't work well together. The server would of been way better with full custom items, spells, and monsters. Just an opinion though, good luck with the server! :)

Yes this under construction - sprites of Weapons and armors coming soon, Monsters sprites and effects like sao anime's part of @Yue Moon (under construction)

Also you atm server under test because i need talk to Tester: Fixing some bugs in npcs (prices...), Npcs guides texts, and others shiets XD
so thnx for your comment i work on it to upgrade this server!

That is true, but remember that the server is not finished, at the moment, it is just a test server, so people can report glitches and take a look at how the server is doing. I invite you to play again, but in some time, when the server is more advanced.

Keep in mind that full custom items/scripts/monsters/sprites is basicly requesting an entire new game which often takes months if not years to make. Thus you cant expect them to have all this out of a sudden. And wheter someone is gonna take the time and dedication to build an entire new game from scratch and basicly only using the TFS engine as a base is maybe expecting a bit too much from someone doing this as a hobby and maybe having rl issues to take care of, too. Dont't get me wrong, in no way I intend to offend you with this, it just seems what you are looking for in almost all the custom rpgs you comment is an entirely new game. Now while we surely have seen quite some impressive custom rpgs within the years, I doubt OTS will be where you will find your luck. Maybe you could also check around ModDB/IndieDB/Desura and other indiendev forums to encourage people to such a project from the start. There is lots of projects out there and what they need is great supporters, such as yourself who can give them some ideas, or test out stuff :)

Hello fellow Otlanders,
I would never have imagined myself to get back into OTS developing anytime soon, however this project is something special to me as it features SAO. This is not yet another project for me. SAO is a world more beautiful than you can imagine and I am glad to have joined this project in order to open up this world to you.
I am sure that if we keep working hard on this project, once finished, it will become a gem among the custom projects out there.

Hello guys, we are prepared for the next test,
we will enable 5 floors for we can see how many dificulties requiereds for up to the 5th floor.
during this test we will be realizing some changes to calculate the dificulties needed to achive each floor.
for them, they would start all with a new character, That will mean that we will delete every existing character.
With that it shall bring mutiple new never seen before achivements,
with the posibility of encountring other new legendary monsters
also finish adding a deep investagation of all the NPC
To enclose new avenues via access towards new floors.


We have added new functions to the game, there has been fixed errors in the map,
there has been added new objectives in the client and new ties to the investagation towards the new NPC.

We hope with great enthusiam the participation of all you guys in this new test

*The inventory shall be saved for the next test.

I'll test it ofc but I don't like an idea of your character dissapearing after dying. It just won't work in tibia. Some internet connections issue/ddos and it's finish.

I know that for many people this is something which seems outrageous. If you knew SAO you would know that's part of the "game". This is not done by mistake, this is a "feature". I can't imagine us removing this feature any time soon. And in the end this won't be Tibia, but a SAO based game. I am gonna throw in another example: Path of Exile/Diablo also use a "hardcore system" in which your character basicly dies permanently on the former world he was playing. Now, both games do have lags at times, too. Still alot of people go for the hardcore leagues to feel the thrill. Have you ever been in a Twitch stream in which a hardcore player died due to lags? You oughta be, because that is something natural, aswell as something which sounds really cruel. Fact is, it happens. What they mostly do then is start anew. Rest assured we will make sure to reduce the chance of such unfortune deaths caused by lagging to a minimum, however this still can happen.

Diablo/PoE got also normal modes where you don't lose everything. We are talking about Tibia's community where envy and jealousy are on the agenda. Sad to say but many people will try to ddos it just to see people's rage.
Futhermore there will be for sure people running 10vs1.

Well our version of SAO doesn't offer such a mode. We are aware that we are likely to be DDOSED and will ensure to take respective protective aswell as legal actions to prevent these attacks from damaging our games experience. About the 10v1, that for sure will occur but that's part of the game. Trust somebody and get backstabbed? Whom can you trust? These questions will remain unanswered in the beginning but given you survive a little longer you will slowly figure out your individual answer for yourself.
 
There is something wrong with connection on sao client. I get kicks all the time.
