Necronia - Discussion

Due to a yet undiscovered reason, some services on our current VPS hosting have started behaving weird and blocked off the access to the host completely, making us unable to access the host or any of the files on it. We will have to move to a new host and set up the server there again. We're currently in the process of doing of all of that, so it might still take some time until the server is back up, but we wanted to let you know what's going on.

We don't have a backup of the database that is not at least 2 weeks old, so, prepare for a pretty hard rollback. In case the situation turns out like that, and it probably will, we will compensate for it by modifying game features to let you progress faster and catch up with your losses. It's beta after all.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this struck us hard and unexpectedly. Anyway, in a few days, once we recover, we'll have more updates and news about everything. Thank you for your patience.

So many things in this video remind me of me and Necronia, I guess which is why you posted it here in the first place.
But I can tell you that we won't be adding any new features anymore, from now on (like the last 1-2 months) it's just pushing out the missing content and finalizing.

New content and features can come in updates later, it's important that we finish and release the server first.

We've set up and tested the server and it's online atm but we still have quite some things to do before we can launch it to people.
The website you can connect to is not the new one, it's still connected to the old broken host.
 
Thank you all. This was a very unexpected problem that appeared abruptly without giving us any time to react, and since we have busy schedules in real life, it took some time to do things necessary to get the ball rolling again, especially because Tarjei wanted to lay down some new framework and because we're using a different OS now, it might require some extra time to set everything up. We'll be working on it tonight when he's back from work, and right now we're setting up a landing page and redirecting the website domain to the new host.

We'll also be getting a remake of the current website later during the day, or tomorrow, with some changed features and a better (yet similar) design, courtesy of @Cornex .

Once we're back on, updates will proceed as planned.
 
Can we send multiple pictures? Either way prepare for some cringeful photos. ;)

It says: It's offline cause constructions or something like that. I didnt get that at all. I'm confused.

The website was taken down some 7 days ago because the old host computer is dead. We're having a new website made right now that will go up with the server again in those few days when this situation I described in the post above is resolved.

Oh, I see. I thought ''the ot has already started and went down along time ago'' well, YES!

I'm so CURIOUS to start playing it! I haven't played such a OT in my life! It kinda reminds me about the game ''RuneScape'' with the woodcutting and the smithing, crafting and cooking xD

Btw, will there be donation items? If there will be donation items such as eq and weapons and runes, they'll be the best items ingame huh?

And there will be pk and guild wars huh? Even if I dont care cause I love to explore maps, and as you mentioned on your post it'll be a huge map to explore and it should take alot of time to explore it and to craft and do the quests and levling and the tasks and and and.... But I'm just asking to have a little bit of a knowledge before starting :D

These questions have been answered a ton of times before, so if you look up through the thread a bit (but I get that someone wouldn't want to go through over 70 pages D;) you can find them.
Anyway, we will have donation rewards, but no equipment or items that put players in a position where they have an unfair advantage over others.
PvP system is something we still have to work on, but from what we're planning so far, you'll be able to choose if your character will be PVP or PVE and then roll with decision.
