otland lagging?

It's happening more than frecuently for me, i noticed that if i enter through incognit tab i can reach the website right after because i'm not logged in.

Cmon guys, it's been just over 2 weeks since any work was carried out to try and resolve this, staff need a minimum of 30 days each response!

I started experiencing this today as well, how come it's starting to affect more people?

They were performing maintenance today in attempts to fix the problem but unfortunately something else went wrong in the process resulting in the website being completely offline for hours. [src]

Nope, it wasn't that. I did see the website go offline, but I'm actually getting slow response times every now and then

Now I'm just confused, am I currently getting slow response times because of the original issue (the reason for OPs thread) or is it because there is a new unknown issue (the one that cause maintenance to be done earlier)? because I did not experience OPs issue at all until today

Not experienced any issues in the past until last night. Also I was unable to access OTLand most part of today.

It's because the actual issue is not fixed yet.
Any progress?
On MySQL I had similar issues with OTS site. When SQL query with 5 joins hit limit of some in memory buffer and MySQL started generating some temporary file on SSD. Query execution time was 10.000 times longer. Result was cached, so for some people on random page (highscores, whoisonline et.c) it loaded for 3 minutes (refresh cache) and other users on other pages had no issue. Tuning MySQL config fixed issue.

Originally, a hardware problem was suspected. Some parts were replaced (or attempted) during the extended downtime.

Independently, I am tweaking MariaDB, which is/was a likely culprit.

If anything changes - especially if you notice the problem to not occur anymore, let us know here like you do!

The logs hold all the answers if you have the time and patience to comb through them.
