Inspired by some topics like "what you want to play" "why servers die" or "which client version to host" I've decided that maybe it's a good idea to have some kind of a survey regarding main drivers for play?

Maybe some server owners could use that poll as a simple guidance for their future projects.
And I'm just curious myself, what would make you play OTS this year or next?

I've decided to let community pick 3 options max, to make it more interesting. Feel free to comment in the posts and discuss.

your decision to only allow 3 picks kinda fucks stuff that is "not as important" if someone is interested in new map grindy rpg stuff but also LOVES party play he surely will not untick rpg stuff since it goes kinda hand in hand, same for enjoying new sprites im not gonna tick it but still be a fan of it.

I've voted: Pure Nostalgia, RPG mysteries, and Grind.

Pure Nostalgia: the sentence says it on its own. We love to feel like the world is detained in 2004.

RPG: in my case, what I enjoy the most is solving mysteries added to the vanilla map with some minor extensions, pretty much what Tibiantis does. The more alive the server feels meaning, the more the lore, NPCs, map, and events are interconnected the more enjoyable and immersive it becomes for me. I would say this is the most important feature for me. Very few OT put much effort into this one...

Grind: this is the fun part. How to solve the game pushes you to explore new methods and learn new tricks in every server depending on the resources the OT provides or how other players interact with each other. Seeing yourself slowly get stronger and pushing your character to the limit when trying a new spawn (for example, when you are strong in skills so you jump from dwarf soldiers to dwarf guards, calling the point "the border level") is amazing.

OT "developers" pool is getting bigger because the proxy to self-learning, assistance, and pre-existing server base is big, but it’s obviously declining in… let’s call it… spirit. Nowadays, it’s more like create, pause, and repeat.

Here are mine, I was not allowed to select more than 3.
I love the eara of 10.100, where level 500 was high and not taken quickly.

Where loot was gained and could be sold for real cash, I do not mind custom or so but I myself love botting, making botters rs and having massive guild wars.
The new era where people are running level 1k in less than 2 months is not my thing at all, I quit ot servers after Hexera and the other server that came up after that which I no longer can recall the name of.

I love the new x14 client and such but all the late game girding has forced the quick levels to pop in and I really dislike that.
Coming back to make bot scripts, try to create and form a solo party afk botting was super fun.

It's more about pick your top3, instead of pick everything you like =) otherwise many people may pick too many things and there will be no real result out of this.

I'm definitely in it for the game play. Tibia is IMO a VERY pure gameloop.
Most games endup leaning on graphics / animations / hardcoded storylines.
Games like Minecraft on the other hand honestly let you explore and exploit.
The fact that we have ChatGPT but still no real AI even in Tibia shows the SOTA.
IMO It's gonna be one of the first interesting games AI masters due to it's purity.
The idea of having local or shared servers with thousands of 'players' is awesome!
Most of the difficulty around building communities lies simply in a lack of noobs.
Pros are awesome but they don't tend to attract noobs (only others noobs do that)
Once dynamic competitive bots arise I predict a huge second wind for the ot comm.
