Hey everyone,
After a long break, I’ve decided to get back into creating OTS servers, and I’d like to ask the community: which engine is currently the best choice for version 8.6?
I’m looking for something stable, well-documented (or at least actively maintained), and that allows me to freely modify OTClient—both visually and technically.
I’m also wondering if it’s still worth sticking to the classic 8.6 version in 2025, or if it makes more sense to explore newer alternatives, like 10.x or other projects that offer more modern features and better community support.
If anyone has experience with the current TFS forks, such as TFS 1.4, Canary, Nostalrius, or other lesser-known ones, I’d love to hear your opinions on what works best with OTClient and gives the most flexibility for customization.
Thanks in advance for any tips and suggestions! It would be great to gather some up-to-date insights on the current state of the OTS scene and which tools are the most future-proof these days.
Cheers, Babahasan
