Could you elaborate on the "slowing progression"? It seems to me that making access significantly more enjoyable isn't a "slowing progression". I also don't remember that damage being reduced this season.
every 1-2 edition there is nerf on certain weapons or system to nerf attack

first time i've played shadow upgrade system could let you get 14 attack on +10 if i good remember (or even upgrade to +12 it was 3 years ago+) and demonic blade was 50 attack with build in protection now its 46 attack no build in protection until u make it legendary this completly gutted single target weapon for eks as it used to be good able to skip aoe weapon up until jungle

health and mana orbs got gutted to the ground with current mana orb combined with weapon nerfs you don have enough mana to kill lure with exori gran spam

demonic crossbow+infernal bolt playstyle got nerfed as infernal bolt was moved to drop for 300+lvls (at this point nobody give a shit about infernal bolts btw) and burst bolt as replacement isnt good enough to be bothered less dmg at low-mid gameplay and less fun everybody just go same route with aoe xbow and oh boy if u had demonic xbow and infernal bolt upgraded it was much better to be single target on rp


Both routes let you be relevant in pvp currently its impossible to kill each other hell yeah 2vs1 is hard to get somebody killed without monsters only rp is getting bullied by others up until evil manauh


Another thing which kinda ruined gameplay is manarunes being strong as you get it and barely scale when you progress 20lvl? get 8mlv buy manarune boom you heal 300 mana per click and tank a lot on utamo then strong manarune being at 50lvl just like 110 ek uh then you literally have to wait till 300lvl+ to be able to do anything to ms/ed as long as ms/ed dont have evil mr access because boom now they heal for 1k+ tanking two people with ease in full trap


on top of that exp rate was nerfed and stamina got gutted this is bandaid to make people play longer for the same lvl and it could be great because progression on 1-200lvl is too fast in my opinion HOWEVER without adding interesting new mechanics and content to attract people it wont work e.g bloodic/heroic monsters and gem rework was great and big and this time we got bestiary system which could be kinda ok content if not for this stamina


and people as always will quit after 2-3 weeks as thats how long their attention span last also streamers will leave once they stop getting paid to play shadow war players will move to another server and it will be close to dead (i've played up to this point and a bit beyond and its really dead with legit 20-30 ppl playing on h-lvl and maybe 50 on mid lvl)

1. Regarding the weapon upgrade system - yes, upgraded weapons used to be stronger, but that created too big gap between players who upgraded them and those who didn’t upgrade.

2. About stamina, you are right in many ways. We started with slightly lower values so we could observe things and tweak them if needed - and we have already made some small changes (today's changelog on site)

3. Health orbs were nerfed because we reduced overall max HP gains on the server (first through character stats, and later through guild bonuses). -> Im not sure if you remember, but that came from a period when knights were completely overpowered.

4. As for systems and mechanics - we try to introduce at least one small new system or mechanic each season, but it’s not always possible. We also want to clean up our own backyard by balancing and improving existing content so that as many players as possible can enjoy it.

5. As for manarunes - I think you have got a little point. It’s definitely noticeable this edition. Mana runes don’t seem perfectly balanced and they give magic classes a clear advantage, especially, I think during the first 7–10 days. The visibility of this gap probably comes from the fact that lately we have been focusing mainly on balancing and nerfing non-magical classes.

Thanks for the detailed statement, we will definitely go through everything and do our best to implement improvements.
 
ek was op back then due to inq items being both for pvp and pve and while using single target weapon upgraded to legendary +12 maybe one or two people on entire server was doing it since u had to spent so much time to grind it also he was good only until 300lvl then he gets outscaled by both rp and mages

on top of that manarunes were slighty weaker and more expensive while ih used to heal almost twice as much ms/ed used to suck until like 300-400lvl then outscale every voc by a big margin for pve content and getting destroyed by rp 1vs1



Also in my opinion mystery gem boxes should be completly removed from store as they destroy whole economy by the point people can craft gemstones you have hundreds of them lying in players depots making it not worth to pay fee for crafting and once its worth to craft (they are actually being used ingame) people just dont play anymore

on top of that getting demonic items, ruby boots, death knell, moon mirrors etc first hours of server is kinda op and ruins idea of crafting those items from scratch at endgame (yes you can get them later on but its definitely not worth it) these items are powerfull endgame items


another thing is first energy weapon quest services are not that exciting if almost everybody already got their energy weapon by the time u get lvl for that quest

There is already a huge gap between free to play vs 50 euro donators vs 500 euro donators. Also, mages never profit between 100-200 if they don't have gear from mystery boxes. The ot is unplayable unless you donate at least 100-150 euros and even then you will get giga gear gapped by higher donators

beside ruby boots which are not so usefull on mage you want to use beginner set on mage then starlight as demonic set got worse regen than beginner

everything that comes from mystery box you would be better to sell and buy manarunes on mage its probably one of cheapest vocations currently (and strongest) to play its all about killing mobs before they kill you

Demonic has the same reg as beginner but with % damage increase. Manarunes are insanely expensive if you are free to play, knights and paladins can make some profit at least. I don't see how mages are one of the cheapest vocations. I can see that mages are broken late game because of their super high mana healing and dmg, but they are unplayable as free-to-play.

You made the gear yourself, you know how unbalanced and pay-to-win your server is

demonic set used to be worse for regen in past maybe now its better

set you want to use on mage is wizard hat, wizard robe, magic legs, demonic spellbook, demonic boots, magician amulet wand is whatever which gives u magic level/pve % dmg and is cheapest to upgrade to get it magic level got much better scaling than pve % dmg until like 300 or higher lvl


yes till 100lvl you mostly exori vis stuff with utamo and mr then mort hur and then ue all you have to do is getting ~200lvl on mage and u start making 1kk-1.2kk/h profit while getting really good xp/h


for example to play ek/rp you have to spent ~15kk-20kk just in weapon alone then get health orb and upgrade it, max out hp at 150lvl (17 points per click + 8cc) at 250lvl pve prot is mandatory so another 1200 points to farm


there are 19 ms and 15 ed in top 50 meanwhile only 14 knights and 9 paladins mostly boosted in team hunts
