[Showoff] Unleash Dreams Project

Karvazhar, the Sunbound CitadelKarvazhar is a small but fortified minotaur city located at the edge of the southern desert, where fertile highlands meet arid dunes. Unlike the brutal and warlike reputation often associated with their kind, the minotaurs of Karvazhar are cultivators, architects, and traders. The city is built in layered brick terraces reinforced with heavy timber beams, rising along the natural slope of the desert highlands. Instead of being carved from stone, Karvazhar was assembled piece by piece, its red clay bricks and dark wooden frames forming a semi-labyrinthine layout inspired by ancient sacred geometry.

26. Sweet Tropic Company
Sweet Tropic Company, a northern corporation backed by Greyhaven, has embedded itself deep within southeastern Tapuyra under the banner of trade and development. By securing control over fruit exports and imposing unequal contracts on Dambori Camp, it has transformed traditional exchange networks into systems of economic dependency. The apes deliver increasing harvest quotas for diminishing compensation, while the company consolidates port access and trade infrastructure.

Within Tapuyra itself, Sweet Tropic Company fuels class division. The lower districts rely on corporate wages, while the upper terraces benefit from investment and political alignment. At the same time, the company discreetly finances reactionary factions seeking to separate jungle territories from republican oversight, creating a fragmented political landscape that weakens Tapuyra from within.

Relations with the lizards of Zangatu have deteriorated severely. The lizards refuse to sell their rice to the company, resisting northern influence. In response, Sweet Tropic Company is rumored to have contaminated Zangatu rice fields with chemical herbicides, crippling harvests as a form of economic coercion. Some believe these toxins have led to horrific mutations among the lizardfolk, giving rise to the so-called Lizard Abominations.

Officially, no evidence links the corporation to these acts. Unofficially, resentment grows across jungle and desert alike. Sweet Tropic Company does not march with armies, yet its expansion leaves scars on land, species, and sovereignty — conquering through commerce, division, and quiet devastation.

The Kalunga River descends from the inland jungles in slow, heavy curves, its waters dark with silt and legend. By the time it widens into Kalunga Bay, it has already divided more than land — it has divided histories. On its western bank rises the fortified port of M’Banza, the southern shield of Tapuyra. On the eastern horizon, beyond mist and mangrove, lie the contested territories of Zangatu.

Port M’Banza is built almost entirely of hardwood: thick jungle timber, blackened by salt and age, reinforced over generations with iron brackets and patched planks. What began as a trade dock evolved into a defensive bastion. Watchtowers rise above the piers. Ballista platforms and rusted cannons line the outer barricades. Heavy wooden palisades guard the river mouth, forming a narrow maritime choke point designed to repel incursions from both Zangatu raiders and foreign fleets flying Greyhaven colors.

The river itself bears the scars of prolonged tension. Crates broken from rushed shipments drift between pylons. Empty bottles, snapped ropes, shattered cargo planks, and fragments of military debris gather along the current. What was once a clear commercial artery now carries the residue of blockade, sabotage, and hurried mobilization.

Yet M’Banza endures. Through clashes with lizard warbands, skirmishes with mercenary flotillas, and political manipulation from distant powers, the wooden port has not fallen. Its beams creak but do not collapse. Its docks flood but are rebuilt. The people of Tapuyra say the Kalunga remembers who defends it.

Between jungle and sea, commerce and war, myth and empire, the river and its wooden fortress remain standing — weathered, contested, and unbroken.

The Southern Tropics Agrochemical Labs (Project S.T.A.L.), funded by the Sweet Tropic Company of Greyhaven, were built near Tapuyra to develop sterile seeds and powerful herbicides meant to control regional agriculture. A catastrophic experiment released toxic chemicals into the surrounding marshlands, mutating workers and wildlife into Bog Raiders and Carniphilas. In Sector 7G, corrupted plants and angry jungle spirits fused into a monstrous entity known as The Putrid Bloom. While the lizards of Zangatu and the apes of Dambori Camp condemn the disaster, Tapuyra’s leaders remain silent, bribed by the company that strengthens Greyhaven’s economic grip on the region.

At the northeastern entrance of Tapuyra, at the foot of Monte Kalumbara—known to Greyhaven as the Trihorn Mountains—stands a massive hydroelectric complex known as Kalumbara Hydroelectric Station. Built where the heavy rains of the mountain feed powerful rivers descending toward the lowlands, the plant was officially constructed to provide energy for the growing settlements of the region. In reality, many believe it serves far greater strategic interests.

The mountains create a powerful orographic barrier: clouds from the southern seas break against the high peaks, pouring rain into reservoirs while the lands beyond remain dry desert. Greyhaven engineers recognized the value of this natural energy source and funded the construction of the facility through corporate fronts tied to the Sweet Tropic Company.

Suspicion around the station is widespread. The lizard scholars of Zangatu have carefully mapped the entire region and warn that the plant’s location effectively seals Tapuyra from the northeast. Combined with rebel mercenary camps in the northwest and the tense border with Zangatu to the south, many believe the power station forms part of a larger plan to strategically encircle the republic.

Strange sightings have only fueled these fears. Workers and travelers report metallic constructs patrolling the interior of the plant—massive War Golems powered by the immense electrical output of the turbines. Within the flooded generator chambers, unstable Energy Elementals are said to form spontaneously from the raw currents of power running through the machinery.

The facility also maintains two guarded river ports where ships frequently arrive carrying supplies, minerals, weapons, and crates of food. Officially these shipments support the plant’s operations, but many suspect the station is quietly serving as a logistical foothold for Greyhaven.

Meanwhile, the plant itself faces growing instability. Heavy mineral salts carried from the mountains accumulate near sensitive equipment, corroding the infrastructure and occasionally triggering violent electrical surges. Some engineers fear the station is becoming dangerously volatile.

To the people of Tapuyra, Dambori Camp, and Zangatu alike, the Kalumbara plant is not merely an energy facility—it is a looming symbol of Greyhaven’s expanding shadow over the region.

Recent reconnaissance around the Kalumbara Hydroelectric Station, located at the foot of Monte Kalumbara—known to Greyhaven as the Trihorn Mountains—has confirmed many of the suspicions long held by the peoples of Tapuyra, Zangatu, and Dambori Camp. What was once presented as a neutral energy project now appears closely tied to Greyhaven’s expanding influence in the region.

Exploration teams have discovered hidden manufacturing sectors within the lower industrial levels of the plant. Inside these areas, workers and automated machinery assemble weapons, reinforced mechanical parts, and components believed to be used for War Golems and other constructs powered by the plant’s immense electrical output.

Activity at the facility’s southern port has also raised alarm. Scouts have confirmed the presence of a Greyhaven war vessel docked at the harbor, heavily guarded and actively loading and unloading crates believed to contain supplies, military equipment, and food shipments. These movements suggest the plant may function as a logistical supply hub for Greyhaven’s fleets, allowing the empire to maintain a quiet but constant presence near Tapuyra.

Investigations inside the dam itself have also revealed an unusual phenomenon. Along the reservoir’s inner structures, large deposits of minerals and crystalline salts have formed naturally as a result of the region’s intense evaporation cycles. The mountain rains carry mineral-rich waters down from Monte Kalumbara, and over time these elements accumulate along the dam’s reinforced chambers and turbine channels. While this process creates maintenance challenges for the plant’s engineers, some observers believe the rare mineral formations could eventually attract further industrial interest.

Together, these findings reinforce what many in the region already fear: the Kalumbara Station is not merely an energy facility. Through the influence of the Sweet Tropic Company and other Greyhaven-backed enterprises, the plant has become a strategic foothold—one that powers industry, supplies fleets, and quietly strengthens Greyhaven’s control over the lands surrounding Tapuyra.

31. The Chuva Grande Plantations
North of the main administrative offices of the Sweet Tropic Company, vast agricultural plantations stretch across the humid lowlands of Tapuyra. These fields form the heart of Greyhaven’s economic presence in the region, producing large quantities of rice, pineapple, tropical squash, mango, bananas, and carrots destined for export markets across the empire.

The plantations are sustained by the fertile waters of the Chuva Grande Delta, a sprawling wetland where warm temperatures, heavy rainfall, and irregular terrain create ideal farming conditions. The soil retains large amounts of moisture through layers of mud, underground streams, and shallow aquifers, allowing crops to grow year-round with minimal irrigation infrastructure. Both the farms of Sweet Tropic and the nearby communities of Dambori Camp depend on this same delta for water.

However, the company’s aggressive agricultural practices have reshaped the ecosystem. The widespread use of experimental fertilizers and pesticides—many developed through the ill-fated Project S.T.A.L.—has altered local plant life. Some native carnivorous species mutated into dangerous organisms now known as Carniphila and Spit Nettle, mobile predatory plants that thrive among fruit plantations.

Over time, these creatures developed a strange relationship with the region’s inhabitants. Drawn to the ripening hormones released by fruit crops, the plants often gather near plantation edges where food sources are abundant. Farmers, workers, and even the apes of Dambori Camp have learned to live alongside them, sometimes guiding their territorial instincts to deter pests, intruders, or rival scavengers.

Despite the prosperity the plantations appear to bring, many believe they represent something deeper: the quiet expansion of Greyhaven’s agricultural empire, turning the fertile lands of Tapuyra into a controlled source of food, resources, and influence.

32. The Chuva Grande Plantations II and a toxic hope on S.T.A.L
In a sealed chamber of the abandoned S.T.A.L. facility, the remains of Engineer Moses Tuvida were discovered among scattered bones and corroded equipment. Tuvida was the first to witness the rupture of containment tanks that released VX-Herbex Taputrioxin (C₈H₁₀Cl₂NO₄P), a volatile herbicidal compound designed to accelerate crop dominance. The gas spread through the laboratories, mutating workers into Bog Raiders and corrupting plant life. Outside, Sweet Tropic’s fertile plantations continue to thrive, growing experimental desert wheat for Kretara—plants that now hunt living prey for moisture.

The Sweet Tropic Company, operating under the economic influence of Greyhaven, has developed a range of experimental crops through the research conducted at the Southern Tropics Agrochemical Labs (Project S.T.A.L.). These products are designed not only to increase yield but to reshape entire ecosystems in favor of Greyhaven’s agricultural dominance.

One of their most ambitious projects is Kretarah Drygrain, a modified rice engineered to grow in arid environments such as the deserts of Kretarah. By altering root behavior and water absorption cycles, the crop can survive in soils with minimal moisture, allowing Greyhaven to expand agriculture into previously barren lands.

Another major export is the Tropical Fire Gourd, an aggressive variety of spiced tropical squash that thrives in humid coastal climates like the Chuva Grande Delta. Its intense flavor and resilience make it highly profitable in Greyhaven markets.

However, many of these crops are linked to dangerous ecological side effects. Experimental fertilizers and growth hormones used to enhance productivity have been associated with the mutation of native carnivorous plants, giving rise to species such as Carniphila and Spit Nettle, organisms that now roam the plantation borders.

To critics in Zangatu and Dambori Camp, these innovations are not agricultural progress, but weapons of ecological control, allowing Greyhaven to dominate both food supply and territory across the southern continent.

33. The Kuaray Wetlands, north of Tapuyra, are misty marshlands where venomous wyverns nest among muddy hills. Once managed by Tapuyran shamans for meat and talismans, the region has grown more dangerous since Greyhaven’s expansion and the experiments of Project S.T.A.L., unsettling the balance of the jungle.

34. The Southern Kuaray Wetlands, located between the city of Tapuyra and the southern reaches of the Chuva Grande, form a vast and unstable marshland where dense jungle, heavy rains, and deep mud dominate the landscape. The saturated ground makes large constructions nearly impossible, forcing explorers and hunters to rely on elevated paths, trenches, and small watch platforms built on the few stable mounds of earth.

This region is best known as one of the primary nesting territories of the Tapuyran wyvern, Tapusaurus kuarayensis. These creatures thrive in the humid wetlands and are feared for their unusual venom, which first intoxicates victims—causing dizziness and confusion—before gradually paralyzing them. For generations, the people of Tapuyra learned to coexist with the wyverns, carefully harvesting a few each season for their highly prized meat and bones.

Saurian meat is considered a rare delicacy, though it must be prepared with great care to remove its toxic fat. Their bones are equally valuable, often carved into talismans used by shamans and spirit-callers. Despite these traditions, the wetlands remain dangerous and unpredictable.

In recent years, the balance of Kuaray has begun to shift. The expansion of Greyhaven, along with the industrial presence of the northern hydroelectric complex and the controversial experiments of Project S.T.A.L., has disturbed the ecosystem. Wyverns have grown more territorial, and many believe the spirits of the marsh are no longer at peace.

Tandari is an old shaman who lives along the misty shores of the Kuaray Wetlands, north of Tapuyra. After years sailing the southern seas, he returned to guard the marsh. Friend to the lizardfolk of Zangatu and the hunters of Dambori, he still performs ancient rituals with wyvern meat. Now, as poachers slaughter the beasts, Tandari fears the wetlands may lose the balance that once made their soil thrive

36. Bella non semper sacra sunt
At the heart of Grayhaven’s walled capital stands the Arena, governed by the War Council. It is more than a coliseum—it is an instrument of the empire. Here, soldiers are tested, siege machines are unveiled, and violence is made spectacle for the people. Every battle is blessed by the Church, though few believe it is faith they serve.

Engineers showcase living weapons and prototypes born from covert ties with S.T.A.L., while captains refine tactics against beasts captured in conquered lands. Victors are elevated as symbols of order; the fallen are discarded as necessary cost.

Above the arena, carved in stone, are the words: Bella non semper sacra sunt.
A truth they all understand… but none dare question.1774155810473.webp1774155801689.webp1774155792906.webp
