Stave a Life!​


"As I was saying, children, this young magician, a nimble-kneed sorcerer named Elric, was a chortling, wide-grinned, happy-go-lucky youth. He bounced around like a butterfly wispy through the air, his steps at times comically clumsy not because of his person but due to the oversized clothes he wore. Everything hung too big for him - the brim of his hat drooped below his eyes, his shoes created delightful frumples for every toe, and his gown and robes swaddled every limb, as if the fabric were soaked and runny from a playful plunge in the nearby lake. But such impediments couldn't deter him; Elric was always on the move, reveling in one thrilling adventure after another.

One fine day, while chasing a mischievous bazumblebum through the woods, Elric stumbled upon the bottomless tower of a peculiar figure known as the Great Necromancer. To Elric though instead of a foreboding lair, the tower seemed to sing with whispers of enchantment and possibilities. Being the curious lad he was, Elric couldn't resist exploring the tower's mysteries. Inside, he discovered dusty shelves lined with countless tomes about life, death, and everything in between. But amidst the darkness, a book the size of his hat itself caught his eye - a tome that held the secrets of the Great Necromancer's profound understanding of death. With a mix of trepidation and wonder, Elric perused the pages, and to his surprise, he discovered what the Necromancer had guarded and hid from the world most dearly - not a path to raise the dead, but a way to cherish life and stave off the clutches of death itself. But oh, as fate would have it, just as Elric was about to make his silent escape, the Great Necromancer returned to his tower! Elric's heart raced, and his wide grin turned into a nervous smirk. With nimble feet, he leaped and tumbled through the tower's chambers, barely evading the pursuing shadows of the Great Necromancer's magic.

By the skin of his teeth and the flutter of his hat, Elric somersaulted out of a window only six stories tall and landed safely in the bosom of a great oak, clutching the precious tome close to his chest. From that day forth, he used his newfound wisdom to help others live long and fulfilling lives and to slow the clutches of death, while carefully guarding the tome to prevent its mischievous practices from falling into the wrong hands. And so, dear children, Elric's vivacity and charitable spirit touched the lives of many, keeping death where it belongs and granting life a little extra time to be clumsy. The end."

During Stave a Life every day (server save) upon dying, meaning reaching 0 Health Points you will be spared by the magic of Elric and not die. Instead of dying you will recover your full health points. This can only happen once per day. If you reach 0 Health Points a second time in a day Elric's magic will not spare you and you will die. You will be notified with a magical green shimmer as well as a message you would have died but instead did not. This applies for each character.

Warlocks of Turmogoth - Soulstealing​


Beyond the edge of the world lies a lost and forgotten place, Turmogoth... shrouded away, the sun itself does not reach it. It is an unforgiving and desolate realm, where power is traded among scattered bands of rogues and mercenaries who answer only to whoever may feed the most mouths.

It bows to the ancient religions and those old ways they've inherited. Soon the sun will raise earlier over all the land below, and the grip which ice has over many a town and farm will break. Drawing down from the cliff wastelands, the Warlocks of Tumorgoth gather in solemn ritual, their dark robes being ripped by the biting wind. They will grant to their warriors the dread magic to drain the will of their foes, making more complying victims. This will keep Tumorgoth in strength a little longer until the next winter enters.

This event will occur from September 11th Thursday Server Save to September 15th Monday Server Save.

During this event killing monsters will yield Mana to the player. For every 20 experience points gained from a monster the player will siphon 1 mana to his person, plus an additional flat 1 mana will be passed to his person for the kill itself.
 
Beasts of Old Age

As the last rays of sun fall back behind jagged peaks, a deep, ancient stillness grips the land. The once tranquil valleys tremble, not with fear, but with the weight of the land's ancestors. From shadowed dens and forgotten caves, they emerge — hulking titans of a bygone era, their gnarled hides thick with the stories of centuries past. Time itself seems to bend under foot as these beasts reclaim their ancestral domains. In their eyes swill the knowledge of ages, their roars mistaken for clashes of storm and thunder. The Beasts of Old Age have awoken — their time has come again.

The storm raged fiercely over the jagged peaks, casting the dark tower in bursts of silver light. At its pinnacle, the wizard stood amidst a maelstrom of howling winds and crackling electricity. His long, tattered robes billowed as his hands, wreathed in tendrils of pulsating energy, reached skyward to summon the storm’s fury. Thunder roared in answer to his commands, and bolts of lightning arced down to the tower’s spire, drawn like moths to flame. The air was thick with the acrid smell of burnt rock and stone and everything seemed bent at the great one's will.

Below, in the shadow of the mountain, a grim company of men ascended the narrow, winding path to the castle. Armed with steel and determination, their faces were lit by the faint glow of torches that struggled against the lashing rain. The townsfolk had suffered long under the wizard's shadow, his magic of energy cowering their lands and twisting their fates. Now, they moved with a desperate unity, the weight of their mission as heavy as the storm overhead. Above, the flashes of lightning silhouetted the ominous tower like a ghastly beacon, daring them to face the foe who wielded the storm.

Headless Knight
  • The Headless Knight will appear three hours after Server Save on Saturday November 1st.
  • The Headless Knight will not hesitate to kill you if you get in his way. He will use his powers of death to take your life on the spot if you bar his path and you will find yourself in Temple with lower experience and no backpack. He might even threaten you for merely glancing at his visage.
  • You will have to drain him of his life before he will leave this plane. You have to kill him.
  • When the Headless Knight does die his body will not be moved by any ghostly spirits.
  • Fallen Warriors will spawn, one for every soul (player) in the area, at the time of the Headless Knight's passing.
  • Fallen Warriors will be creatures which when killed will have spoils each worth an entire lifetime.

Awesome server, constant updates and attention from GM throughout the last 4/5 years.
Very fun to play and engages your brain more than any other server I've played, you really have to think about every step and move you make here while hunting and exploring.

Hibernation​

In the thick snowfall of Dura’s forest, there’s a cave where bears gather to face the winter. It’s not grand or mystical—just cold rock, hard earth, and the raw survival instinct that drives them. As autumn fades and the air gnashes the skin sharper, the bears come. They’ve eaten well, packing on fat from whatever they could find—berries, fish, roots, small game. Now they’re heavy and slow, ready for the long sleep ahead.

The cave fills up quickly. Bears of all sizes settle in, pressed close against the stone walls. The place smells of damp fur and old soil, and the only sound is the slow, deep breathing of animals settling into hibernation. They’ll stay here, huddled together, as the snow falls and the forest freezes over, their bodies living off the stores of fat until spring comes around again. No mysticism—just survival.

Unknown Strength​


Faith is as mysterious as it is powerful. The warrior monks of this abbey when it was first christened made pilgrimage (that is crusade) against many a city. On the eve of each battle they would pray and abstain from all nourishment but water. There are stories where a single blow to the head of those who stepped to challenge these monks would break it as if it were an apple.   • During Unknown Strength all melee and distance attacks, as well as all runes and all spells which deal damage as well as heal health points can critically strike. When these attacks and abilities critically strike they will have double the power they normally would.

Season of Ice


In the depths of winter, the world transforms into an icy foeland. Lakes freeze solid, their surfaces resembling polished mirrors; pines stand like sentinels, hooded, stern and silent; frost meets you every morning. It is a still and covered world, everything a little harder to get to, a little harder to open. As one treks through the snow-covered forest, the air bites at his cheeks and each breath turns to mist. Soldiering on, each step carries the weight of a foot and a half of snow, an opening emerges out from the snow-laden trees and the snow bank of a small lake confronts you. Across the way a small hamlet of no more than four to five houses sit on the lake's edge at the other side, some emitting the smothered glow of fires inside. In sigh men are at work with their burdens of beast at the edge as well as up into the mountainside behind the hamlet in the forest. No time of the year is more quiet, ice and snow covers all over and seals one's lips. It is the Season of Ice.

In the center of the verdant woodlands, the time has come to celebrate the Spring Festival of the elves. As winter's chill recedes, the earth reawakens with a slow and quiet symphony of new life, signaling an end to the season of slumber. Flowers unfurl their petals in a kaleidoscope of colors, and the forest canopy is dappled with the fresh green of new leaves. This festival heralds the rebirth of the land, a time when nature's abundance is embraced and cherished. The elves, guardians of the natural world, extend their invitation to all beings to partake in the revelry, sharing in the joy and abundance of the season. It's a time of harmony and renewal, where the promise of the coming year is celebrated under the canopy of an awakening world.

From April 10th Friday to April 17th Friday the Spring Festival of the Elves will be active.

During that time a festival will be held in the Ab'dendriel gardens, full of wine and music. There will be tables of feast and upon eating from that table you will become empowered from it's delicious wholesomeness. The status you gain will be random from a buffet of possibilities and will last two to three hours from the time you eat; you must figure out what empowerment the eating of the feast gives you; you will not know when the status expires via a notification, you must realize it yourself. You may eat from the table of feast three times each day, but you may only eat after the current status has worn off.

  • Health Regen Boost 15 Health-Points per second
