deathzot , project xdc , roa, rangers arcani, any old yurots server back in the day, chaosot (for its time), i remember a lot of ot's with intresting mechanics / features. In general tho i also see the new servers releasing packed with features from older servers. Let's hope whatever is next...

most effective thing i've seen is just a custom client with some basic anti-bot features. deathzot killed of nearly all bots that way. a bit thing to consider tho is. why are people botting. don't make your game tedious (aka no auto-loot) , (forced to afk mana sit for hours for runes)

@Palm easy fix would be if you log in on anything not otc you get a 24h exp/loot debuf

the only thing you should do is make sure you train at least a bit ... 1 skill = 1% more damage (costs money to swap after rebirth)

in terms of useful colors maybe a new color every 3 tiers 1-3 4-6 7-9 10-11 12-14 money gems consumables/dungeon entry items misc stuff like tools maps colored by difficulty would be nice if possible

Depends how u make the rolling of the gear .. You can make the system as such that if enough money is used you can force your perfect item

it's funny how people cry about not getting more updates... besides more classes/combinations this server is honestly done it has dungeons for every leveling range , leveling zones till 3rd rebirth lvl 50K? so on that note.. who of you got that ? oh nobody? so your asking for more content but...

this is just 1 of the things he did but you'll have to wait for dzot launch to see all of it (should not be to long) also keep on mind its a bit better then just wasd my keyboard for example is azerty so the keys i used instead of wasd is qszd.

don't get me wrong but don't you guys see a bit of an issue in protecting something that is open source... (this is what is wrong with the current OTC community :/)

sadly enough ironman did not help the server last longer but made it worse instead (in terms of people sticking around)

we are quite close to being able to create full games without cipsoft being involved in anything we have the OTclient edubart/otclient (https://github.com/edubart/otclient) we have TFS otland/forgottenserver (https://github.com/otland/forgottenserver) and we have quite a nice open source...
