[7.4] Avesta (fork) - GITHUB PROJECT - OPEN SOURCE!

I decided to open a public open source project on github to improve the so well known server distribution named Avesta.

It's based on rev 9.4.2012, the featured download on: https://code.google.com/p/avesta74/

For sure it has bugs, I uploaded sources too. I think we can get a perfect 7.4 - 7.72 server. There are a lot of people with ninja skills who can help.

I hope you like this move and start making contributions.

You're better off working from OTHire and not the old and deprecated Avesta.

yes, the client is extremely inferior, plus if people wish they can just use dx5 on the 7.72 client (idk why you'd want to)

I believe you exchange the items.xml file in your 7.72 data/items/ folder with a 7.4 items.xml? But it will require a custom client if you should change the sprites from 7.72 to 7.40?

7.4 maps work with 7.72 servers since Tibia 7.7 still has many of the used 7.4 items, so I don't believe you will get to see any map bug (but in any case you do Remere's comes with a built in option to update 7.4 maps to 7.6 but this would remove all 7.4 items and use 7.6 ones, i.e; water, grass).
You would still have to upgrade the map.

Remember Avesta code is from 2008.

Personally, it would feel more logical to take an 8.6 - 0.4 rev and downgrade it to allow 7.4-7.72 support. This way we could change the guild war system to work with 7.4, as well the party sharing. It would just require reverting a lot of the scripts back to the way they are supposed to work in 7.4 which as a community shouldn't take long.
