I do not like Trump, I don't care if you like him or not.

But, in a democracy, we use the freedom of speech to voice our opinions and work out issues.

To anyone who thinks being violent is a good solution, or are proud that they assault people who support Trump, this message is for you.

If you are in the US, this is a democracy. We use the freedom of speech, and voting, along with the constitution and bill of rights to help make laws and elect our representatives.

Even if you didn't like Hillary, you could have still voted for your House Representatives and Senators to support your ideals and help with Checks and Balances. But, PEOPLE (not republicans) voted in a Majority Republican House, Majority Republican Senate, and President-Elect Trump.

You can protest, you can voice your concerns, but being violent about this is immoral. We don't live in a Dictatorship, you aren't going to stage a coup d'état and put someone else into the White House. You are protected by our laws and you have the rights of free speech and freedom to protest. You do not have the right to be violent. You also don't have the right to "get what you want" when it is against the law.

Trump will be the president for the next 4 years. Figure out what went wrong, make changes, and try again next election.

Why was your candidate a very corrupt woman? Why didn't more people vote 3rd party so they had a platform? (You need 15% and they get on stage, then they can start taking an effect).

Imagine if instead of Hilary, Michelle Obama was the candidate? She'd have beaten trump no problem. Bernie probably could have beaten Trump as well (even though I don't agree with his Policies)

Instead of throwing a violent tantrum now, work to fix yourselves for the next election.

Also, to anyone who thinks Trump is going to start deporting legal citizens, you are an idiot.
--Muslims, you are fine, he doesn't want to deport you or care that you are in the US, he wants rational background checks on new muslims (such as Refugees) entering the country to avoid the rampant issues and terrorism happening in European countries.
--Mexicans, you are fine, he doesn't care about you unless you got here illegally, and even then he doesn't have the means to deport you unless you are doing illegal activities inside the US.
--LGTB, I think you over-react about everything, and are a highly-emotional reactionary group that tries to get insane things done by crying the loudest, so fuck you. No one cares if you are Lesbian, Gay, Trans, or whatever, but don't try to change society to match your fucked up world view.

@Flatlander Why don't you support Bernie Sanders' policies?

Free College - Is not free college, it is Tax-Funded college. Lets say 50% of people go to college, that means the 50% that DO NOT go to college are paying for a public service they do not use.
Also, it is impossible for 50% of people to go to college at current prices unless the Taxes are RIDICULOUS, so even with tax-funded colleges, only a small percentage of people will be able to go to the "free colleges".
Which means we would still need private colleges, which will still cost money, and will be better than the government colleges because anything the government runs ends up horrible quality.

Free Health Care - Is not free Healthcare, it is Tax-Funded healthcare. This means instead of me paying $300 a month for my own healthcare, I need to pay $600 a month so I can ALSO cover other people that can't afford their healthcare. That is simply how Taxes work. You Tax people who work for their money to give it to people who either do not work, or cannot afford the services I can afford.

I am basically anti-socialist, and I believe taxes should be as low as possible.

Now, I supported Bernie and Voted for him in the Prelims. Because he was the most moral and upstanding and truthful candidate. I liked his position on Guns (guns aren't evil, they are a tool) and he has many other good qualities.

We have this in Sweden and works perfect. :p

It's not like protesting and rioting will magically get Donald out of office. There is a trending video of a white male being beat up by some black people and then proceeded to steal his car. That was some messed up stuff.

You have 10 million people in Sweden with a 60% tax rate.

Also, the US spends more on defense than the next 28 countries combined, 27 of which are allies we protect (This may be an old stat, I googled and found we are 34% of the world's defense now and we spend more than the next 8 countries combined, China now spends a ton on defense). A HUGE portion of our taxes goes to defending the world. If we move those taxes over the College, the stability of the free world is compromised. We do not have the luxury to live in a small state defended by a Super-Power. We are the Super-Power and we have the responsibility to protect our allies.

dunno where you get your sources from, but you definitely need a lesson in source criticism @60% tax rate lmao

To be honest, our tax is lower than yours in US (depends on income though but on average).

Sweden Tax Rate resources:

And your own damn website:
https://sweden.se/society/why-swedes-are-okay-with-paying-taxes/

Please show me a source that says you pay less than 50-60% taxes

Also you can just google "Sweden Tax Rate" and google pops up the following:

The Personal Income Tax Rate in Sweden stands at 57 percent. Personal Income Tax Rate in Sweden averaged 56.28 percent from 1995 until 2015, reaching an all time high of 61.40 percent in 1996 and a record low of 51.50 percent in 2000. Personal Income Tax Rate in Sweden is reported by the Skatteverket.

Local taxes in Sweden range from 28.89 per cent (Vellinge municipality) to 34.32 per cent (Hofors municipality).

National income taxes
None on income up to SEK 413,200
20 per cent on 413,201 to 591,600
25 per cent on income over 591,600

Income from capital
30 per cent (state tax)

Corporate income tax
22 per cent

I lol'd at tradingeconomics because this is not true.

so apparently you add everything together and BOOM 50-60% per cent? 22 % of X + 30 % Y != 52% just wanted to point it out for you there old mate

You can't just look at payroll taxes, There are other taxes,

It is a FACT that the effective taxation rate in Sweden is commonly cited as among the highest in the world, see List of countries by tax rates.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_tax_rates

Your country taxes the HELL out of everything and everyone, to afford the luxuries you have.
Now, this works fine in your country, because you have less roads to take care of, and less defense to worry about, but your tax scheme would not work in America. At all.
Even if we had a identical tax plan, we couldn't afford what you do.

We fund NASA, we fund our Military, we fund Research and Development.

Free colleges are in whole EU I think, I spent my last semester in Spain (Malaga) for absolutely no charge. Ive met some US guys who have to pay like 50-100 thousand per year. Crazy.

USA is simply different than EU. Most ppl Ive met that moved to Spain from US say they now feel more european than american because of those social benefits.

You also cant complain swedish taxes because people there really feel like they get the service back from government. Ive heard some of those scandinavian countries raised taxes in referendum.

Also ask youself why best countries in the world for living have also highest taxes. This showed as a system that works best for ppl if managed good.

Oh Yes lets see. Highest taxes in the world (if you don't use left-ists who ignore evil countries)

1. Argentina: 137.3% — Astonishingly, Argentina's total tax rate is judged to be over 100% of corporate profits. The country's turnover tax alone eats up nearly 90% before taxes on salaries and financial transactions are taken into account.

2. Bolivia: 83.7% — Bolivia's 3% tax on transactions wipes out 60% of company profits, even before other taxes are taken into account. But it still loses out to one other Latin American country.

3. Tajikistan: 80.9% — The country in Central Asia has a 2% statutory tax rate on all turnover, which takes out a significant chunk of a company's average profits.

4. Colombia: 75.4% — The country brought in a new wealth tax — though it's fourth in the world, it comes in third in Latin America for its total tax rate.

5. Algeria: 72.7% — Algeria has the highest total tax rate in Africa

6. Mauritania: 71.3% — In 2013, this agriculture-dependent country brought in a withholding tax of 15% to stop people from moving payments to nonresidents.

7. Brazil: 69% — Last year, Latin America's biggest economy eliminated a 20% tax on business payrolls as part of an effort to reform its system.

8. Guinea: 68.3% — Most of Guinea's corporate taxes are paid through a flat-rate tax on turnover from the previous year.

9. France: 66.6% — The country tops the ranks for Europe, though the current government has pledged to overhaul the system and cut corporate taxes.

10. Nicaragua: 65.8% — In 2012, the International Monetary Fund suggested that the country reduce the complexity of its corporate tax system

11. Venezuela: 65.5% — The government of Venezuela pursued a higher-tax model, with dramatic increases in taxes for foreign oil companies under President Hugo Chavez.

12. Italy: 65.4% — Though known for its higher tax rates, Italy gets beaten to the top spot in Europe by another country.

13. China: 64.6% — Like many other countries on the list, China levies some taxes on the turnover of businesses rather than on their profit.

14. Chad: 63.5% — Like Gambia, Chad relies on agriculture and is extremely poor. It taxes 1.5% of turnover or 40% or profits, depending on which is higher.

15. Gambia: 63.3% — Without major natural resources, Gambia is among the poorest nations in the world. Taxes on turnover rather than profit raise rates for businesses significantly.

16. Benin: 63.3% — The World Bank says the country's corporate income tax runs to only 15.9%, but a bundle of other taxes raise the total rate imposed on businesses significantly.

The list goes on and on. High Taxes does not = Good Country AT ALL.

You need to remember that you're looking at a country with 10 million people vs roughly 320 million people. Even then, the average we pay /citizen when it comes to funding research and development is higher than what it is in USA. Apparently USA is the dominando country and we all hope Trump will do you good.

source please @Flatlander

tldr; we have it great in sweden and we're happy with out current taxes. glhf with trump

I think Sweden is a great country. I am not "knocking" Sweden.

I am arguing you can't take the Tax Policies from Sweden and import them to America and expect it to work how it does in Sweden.
We have different natural resources, different economies, vastly different populations, and different goals of what to spend our Taxes on.

I googled "countries with highest taxes" and picked business insider which was the 1st 2 things to pop up (other than Googles SUGGESTION world atlas)
