I'd like to find anime that isn't over-sexualized, something that children can watch. If Japan got their stuff together, they would've had a much bigger audience. Too bad the line between hentai and regular anime is so freaking thin.

I'm wondering what age you consider children as it sounded to me like you consider yourself one of them. And also what is something that children can watch? I mean, like almost every movie from Studio Ghibli is made for children.... Besides that, I'm not into little kids anime.

How many animes did you even watch? Lol, to say every anime you watched is over-sexualized, you didn't watch much or you have only watched ecchi/harem/hentai (so you pretty much enjoy it so whats the problem...)

If you really want anime for children, you can probably find a bunch of them, you just have to search for it.

List of some that I can remember: Pokemon, Digimon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Gochiusa, Shugo Chara etc...

Gundam series, Code Geass, Aldnoah Zero are definitely not over-sexualised... and there are ofc many others.

Also I started watching bleach and Rurouni Kenshin when I was little and the amount of ecchi/hentai in both series is also verrrrrrrrryyy limited there ... (almost none).

I wanted to primarily find anime suitable for myself. I've browsed through series form this site: http://animehaven.org/ (under mystery, action & thriller) and I was disappointed, as usual.

Besides, I might imagine the need for these anime studios to add some extra legs & cleavage to get more attention in this very competitive business. In my opinion this also shows a lack of creativity. In general there is nothing wrong about asking for stuff that is a little bit more modest.

Why wouldn't you want an Anime with some softcore porn in it? I mean what is there to complain about? Gonna complain about that, just go watch Pokemon or something that is made for kids...
I don't really watch Anime, because I personally think it sucks. But I think most Anime's has alot of nudity or similar sexual stuff because it attracts more viewers.
And if you are pussy enough to complain about "Buhu, to much "Hentai" or whatever, just watch some Cartoon Network...

The issue with softcore porn aka fan service is that it's a fucking lazy way to gather viewers to an anime. It allows for the anime to get away with garbage storylines and storytelling, and even art style. Instead of quality, we get: The only teenage boy in the anime ends up clumsily falling on top all the female characters in the anime.

To me it sounds like you've only watched "to love ru" then. I've watched countless anime and it's the only one I can recall that fits your description

I've watched over 30 different anime series through and through and I've seen 1-5 episodes of countless others. Too much garbage anime out there is a reality.

Jeez lol you guys discussing whats in anime is pointless..
There are animes with everything. Literally EVERYTHING.
There are slice of lifes which focus on normal day life and there are even animes that are based on real life events that happend etc you could go on forever.
If you want animes made for kids there are pokemon and digimon and such. If you want a serious anime without the "over-sexualized" part there is death;note, berserk, steins;gate etc

Yes it is. Tokyo Ghoul √A is completely different from the manga, I won't talk much but for instance he doesn't join aogiri in the manga.

I don't see a reason for you to care about anime that get viewers that way. It doesn't bother nor affect you AT ALL. Can't see why anyone should be bothered by this.

Ecchi is basically a genre of anime. Just like Romance, Action, etc, and there are a lot of bad anime, and a lot of those bad anime try to get more viewers by showing ecchi material.

There are anime that are very good and have nudity/ecchi, and anime that are very bad and have nudity/ecchi material.
I think Demon King Daimao and Seven Deadly Sins are pretty good anime with Ecchi material, but I think Freezing and Queens Blade are terrible the dumbest anime known to man.

Nothing wrong with not liking Ecchi material, it does kind of take you away from the story, and you can't really watch it in public or with family.

Children shouldn't watch a lot of anime out there, maybe even most anime out there.

Japanese anime culture have a huge issue with "little sister complexes" and there is almost always a pervy "beach episode" in every anime.
If you watch a lot of anime, you grow numb to it, and you stop even seeing it, you look past it and just see the anime, but children will start to think it's normal to be a complete pervert.
