We added a new path to Bog Raiders, that connects Orcs, Dwarves, Bog Raiders and Earth Elemental. Having more paths is always helpfull for players who casually finds new spots. It also has an O'aka NPC at Earth Elementals that makes the hunt much more faster.

We adjusted all spawns a lot. We have a sort of mixed creatures in some places and I tried to make them much more coherent (for leveling, and contextual appearing). We also decreased the exhaust of a few spells, making rotations much more faster (if you wish to waste a little more). We're also discussing a lot of vocation balancing, and we've been doing a really good job. That's why in first place we applied the cooldown reduction.

I also changed the quest-room. It wasn't very attractive so I started a whole new structure for it. This is the result, the main quests from the server such as Pits of Inferno, Inquisition, Arena, and Wrath of Emperor are linked to this piece on the sides.

There's more extra mapping at some other places, but, they're mostly detail addition or respawn balancing. So I will pass from they screenshots by now, I'll keep working on the server trying to find more to do. The feedback from players it's being awesome this days, giving me great feedback about how the experience income is working on every place, how to profit is, and many other stuff.

First annihilator, submitted by Mikilinho Ek. He's the highest level of the server, with a great difference from second player, I asked him for some videos while hunting, etc.; so I did a quick edit of this one that shows him doing the Annihilator successfully (he died many times trying to rush it).


I'm really happy to see this player facing the server. He's been playing a lot to open it, and been contributing with crucial feedback (pointing where we have to boost, decrease, or change respawns). Our second player, Materia Gris, have been contributing with this feedback too. This two players also have the record of being the first level 100 (Materia Gris); and the first level 200 (Mikilinho Ek) who hit this level yesterday, 19/09/2024.

I received more videos from the first days of Codicia (we have changed a lot since 27 August). I'll try to edit them soon, so I can expand the youtube channel a bit more, and look further for more videos from other players too. Today's server save at 6:55 am. GMT-4 (20/09/24) comes with a lot of new respawn distribution, more appeal on maps, among other minor changes.

Also added more detail to every corner of the server, specifically at those mountains that didn't had ground on upper floors. Even if it's for detailing, makes a great difference on appeal.

I also did a quick rework to the depot I posted before, because I didn't like the outcome in-game. I think this will look much better.

We also did a depth check for talkactions. On next server save, !commands will be now avaible with all the command variations, english and spanish ones, and will have a better display. We also changed the message "Has encontrado algo." that appears each time a potion, or piggy bank from our extra loot system makes it's job. This is because we don't want to make this message collides with the newer task counter (I don't think that players will miss the message).

There's also changes on few respawns.
  • North of enigma will have mostly Gnarlhounds
  • Remade respawn from west Enigma (more crocodiles)
  • Added dworcs to carniphila zone
  • Changed mutated tiger/rat/bat path neraby icy lands
  • Changed respawn from icy lands (more progressive, not all in)
  • Prepared a Carrion Worm cave between the city and icy lands
  • Added O'aka XXIII to icy lands entrance
  • Added O'aka XXIV to nightmare scion respawn
  • Added level door to Hydra respawn
  • Completely remake Elves cave
  • Completely remake Wailing Widows
  • Added more cyclic laps on Vampires from Cemetery
  • Added warning signs at War Golems
  • New respawn on Quaras (much less powerfull, more cyclic)
  • Changes on Lancer Bettle spawn (much more focused on Bettles, and Brimstone Bugs)
  • Added respawn to Dark Cathedral's respawn of Serpent Spawns, and changed the level door to level 130.
  • Now Markwin (located on Minotaurs) and Nina (located inside WOTE) are refiller NPCs.
That's the log I could remember, I actually worked a lot on the server today.

Remake of Quaras, again. It's being hard to balance this hunt, but now I added lots of tiles for better speed, with ways that leads to cyclic rotations. It was really annoying to walk so slow on underwater.

We also fixed drown damage underwater, it was not doing the drown hits for all tiles, now it is working properly. I added an extra quest for the helmet of the deep, really nearby this underwater zone (so it is easier to wear and go). And another one to easily obtain a swimmer shimmer.

Here's also a picture in-game of the new depot located on quest-room. I really liked the outcome, it was looking not so good in-game with the previous version, so this is much more of what I wanted to achieve.

In resume:
  • New rework on quaras with faster paths
  • Added chest for helmet of the deep and swimmer shimmer
  • Added ice paths at Sea Serpent (and more respawn)

Overall, we haven't done more changes. I worked a lot on the server this week, and it seems that everything works perfectly fine for each level of the server, with scaling difficulty, and nice profit at every zone. I think I'll wait for more incoming feedback (since everything was covered so quickly, looks like everything goes excellent). Pheraps next posts will be some in-game screenshots of more recorded videos. As always, this new changes will come at 6:55 a.m. GMT-4

New video making Ice Golem, Mutated Tiger, and Mutated Rat task; this video shows some of the results from latest changes (in a very fluid hunt). I used a keybind recorder at the bottom, it shows all the keys that are pressed, and also, edited the video with different speeds for a more enjoyable view. Used YouTube audio library for the music.


I use 60 fps on my configuration, I feel that is a good rate of frames to play with.

If I were you I would just switch back fully to english

It is indeed, a really good server without doubt.

I'll try, someday. but as you see the spanish translation is very hard-coded (specially on items). Anyways is not impossible, I could do, but definitely not on this server which is going to be long-term. You can still interact with the game, using english words. That said, you can still enjoy the game by using English keywords and commands, which are recognized in both languages (e.g., !bless/!bendicion). You can find an updated list of !commands to help you get started.

Who cares about those 10 spanish players they prob can speak english

I don't worry about having 10-15 players, as long they're 100% real players, because no player can stay logged in on Codicia without having their clients open due our server configuration. Spoofing data is an awfull way to grow a server, players will do nothing than being AFK and that completely kills the game. About players, they're 100% used to play in spanish right now, and the community from WhatsApp, and discord is really solid (with discord nitro players are streaming a lot in HD). I expect that this number of players will increment over the time.

@Marko999x I invite you to try, use the remaining english interactions and i'm quite sure you wouldn't notice a big difference on gameplay. You also have my discord in case you need support, and there's the discord group that helps too.

Added more respawn to ancient scarabs and bonebeasts. Also added more paths for this hunt, and apes hunt; and raised the drop of ape furs to *3 for each ape (merklin, sibang, kongra). The hunt is going to be more cyclic now, since paths are more rotative. The expansion of this zone will help players to refill on Markwin before reaching level 70 and accessing to O'aka XIX refill.

The quara explorer zone has been changed a little bit, now it has more Quara Mantassin Explorer, that is a really easy monster to kill and that will help you finish the task much more quickly. The zaoan tower that is on the centre of the map also had a little change on it's respawns, so now it can be used for lower levers to get great amounts of experience.

We haven't change anything else so far. The server works perfectly. I'll be preparing a halloween event for October, probably we're going to add a Halloween automatic raid, and a 50% discount on Royal Pumpkin outfit. As always, thanks for reading!

Changed path to Annihilator/Demon Helmet quests, with a more cyclic Hero, Necromancer and Priestess area. Now it's much better for hunting and task making. I also added a level 100 door for the Demon respawn, so nobody fall into the teleport and die.

Also made a few changes on Cemetery respawn. It used to have some vampires, but there's another zone with many of those. So I decided to make it a bit easier for lower levels, and changed path a little bit since this zone leads to many other hunting grounds.

I also added ammunitions refills on Markwin, Nina and Zalamon. Thanks to Fagoor for reporting it. We're also aware that some creature products are missing on NPCs so we're going to add them on Arito very soon. This was reported by Talkitex on discord.

A last thing is that we added lots of Nightmares at Cemetery's teleport. A really needed change, because this zone wasn't giving good experience at all. We're seeking for more respawns that needs an enhance, but for the moment we're balancing everything with accuracy.

Changed this two zones a little bit, they're the surroundings of zaoan tower. This werewolf area is accessible through hat of the mad quest. We added a level 50 door for this zone, which is accesible by using key 3620 (there's a quest for this key, and the location is mentioned on the questlog). We also changed the pathing to avoid any forced diagonal step.

I also added more wyverns at this side, and lots of stairs. Avoided any possible forced diagonal pathing (much better for map clicking, etc).

Also tried to increase the respawn on Liches, adding a variety of creatures that i'm aware that will not kill each other, making good synergy, profit, and experiencie. I'll be looking into this area to see if works, otherwise, i'll change the respawns again (it also has some Putrid Mummys that are not displayed on this image).

Added a few fences on training area, so paladins can try higher distance hits. I kept some rooms where sight from trainers is focused only on the player who's training, so trainers doesn't change their target due the raise in sight (where the fences are applied). Since paladins and mages aren't focused on raising their shielding, I thought this was a balanced way to have training choises for every vocation.

I also did changes on the subterrain of this area, made all the NPCs be on the same floor. Also removed the level doors from quest room, so curious people can enter, explore, without risk of dying. This is an attempt to make players be aware that this quest room exists. It also has a depot, that I previously uploaded on the thread, that has been updated again with brick walls and wooden floor.

Also...

  • Changed position of O'aka XXII to the entrance of this cave (used to be at the entrance of wyrms, now it is at the entrance of the dragon cave).
  • Added some missing loots to NPCs. Such as brown crystal splinter, red crystal fragment, dragon claw, among others...
  • Solved a little issue with party leaders who couldn't get loot message at loot channel, it was displaying as description message instead; now, it is working correclty and the loot messages displays on loot channel aswell.
  • We also did a final check to !commands that now is working perfectly.

Many new updates. First we changed a lots of monsters according to Tibia 2024 balancing project.

So here's the changelog:
  • Changed experience from Blightwalker, Fury, Hand of Cursed Fate, Hellfire Fighter, Juggernaut, Nightmare, Plaguesmith, Undead Dragon, Quaras (all species), Skeleton Elite Warriors, Undead Elite Gladiators, Armadiles, Hideous Fungus, Humongous Fungus, Stone Devourer, Lava Golem, Lost Berserker, Orewalker, Ironblight, Cliff Strider, Massive Earth Elemental, Mutated Bat and Earth Elemental (see exact experience rate on the link above)
  • Change of element sensitivity on Blightwalkers, Fury, Hand of Cursed Fate, Undead Dragon, Frost Dragon, Frost Dragon Hatchling, Armadile, Hideous Fungus, Homongous Fungus, Stone Devourer, Lost Berserker, Cliff Strider, Ironblight, Massive Earth Elemental, Earth Elemental, Betrayed Wraith, Choking Fear and Young Sea Serpent (see exact changes on the link above)
This changes looks specially good for druids, since many of this monsters decreased their inmunity to ice and earth elements. There's also good for sorcerers since some monsters decreased their fire and energy resistances. The average experience of the monsters increased too (some decreased, but mostly, they're increases).

We also made two new paths, nearby the "training zone" depots. This two paths will allow players to travel from Demon Oak, to depots, and from Wrath of the Emperor (Zalamon's room) to depots (and viceversa). This paths are only avaible for players who achieve the requierements (finishing Killing in the name of..., and completing Chartan mission in case of W.O.T.E)

We also added a new path nearby Demon Oak, to quickly access to one of our most used Werewolf hunting zone. The path was really long, so we streched it making a new passage (it won't allow players to enter Demon Oak without finishing requieriements, since it has the requierement door on the werewolf path too).

Other than that, we did some visual rework to some places, to enhance appeal. We're planning a halloween event of experience *2 at 30 and 31 of October. Also the outfit of Royal Pumpkin reduced it's price to 75% (125 points) to boost donations, we want to receive more to support the server and it's host.

Edit~ A very last one is that I rebuilt a Ghastly Dragon cave that was located nearby Nightmares. Now it has Frost Dragons; I was thinking that there's too many Ghastly Dragon spots, and now that I changed the Frost Dragon resistance to earth, a cave like the following would be really awesome for Druids (who has mas tera and mas pox). There's also a rope spot between this new Frost Dragons and Sea Serpents, opening a brand-new path.

Is it possible to change the language in the game to English?
It is not possible, since Spanish translation is hard-coded. But you can still interact with NPCs using both english/spanish commands (saying "hi", or "hola"... "trade" or "comerciar", "mission" or "tarea" etc.). Thanks for the answer!
 
It would be nice if the server had a command, for example !eng, that causes NPCs to speak English. I like to know what the npc is writing to me, and translating everything in a translator is a bit pointless :/ Besides, this option would definitely attract players who don't understand Spanish.
