Dayz

pretty basic gphx card for a laptop though especially if it's a stock PC from Dell/HP and such I would assume?

It's Acer..
Say no more :( They suck

Good thing it runs arma 2 with lag atleast

My laptop runs Tibia with 20 fps lol
Yeah, it wasnt so bad, it was.. 'playable' maybe
And my laptop runs Tibia fine, no lag, nothing.
Same with LoL (unless im streaming)

And WoW i get slight lag when in major citys (ive played the trial...)

My first kill:| Changing server due to massive lagg

Wont stream more tonight, work tomorrow.

Will announce here tomorrow when ill start play again :)

fuck, i just realised i bought operation arrowhead on steam, but its downloading arma 2 aswell >.< i can still do DayZ right?

It'll be a way for them to get off Arma2 and have total freedom, while they are using Arma2 and DayZ as a mod they are still limited to what the game offers and to certain restrictions the Arma2 developers made(like in any other game that supports mods), being a standalone removes all that and makes it an actual game instead of just a mod, either way, its a plus and I'd rather play 10€ for this game alone then 30€ for Arma2 and the required expansions that I'll never play just so I had the required resources to use the mod

Yh but it says it will avoid free to play.. So it wants a subscription if i'm not mistaken :s

they say its like Minecraft, so its a 1 time payment, and the earlier you get it, the cheaper it is, I still remember getting Minecraft for 9€ or something while its above 20€ now

also, stop being picky, they made an awesome thing and they deserve some kind of token of gratitude

It depends if he is actually going to keep using the Arma2 engine for the game, if he does he'll have the same freedom, he has a job at Bohemia Interactive & Dayz is going to be an actual built in game mode in Arma 3, he has the sources for the game, he has freedom within the confines of the Engine, Dayz was originally just a test run for Arma 3.

He's either money grabbing (Which am not bothered about, the games worth it, & i'd rather he have my cash than Bohemia) or has a new engine that'll give him even more freedom

@amusement
yeaah i noticed, but i bought it on steam the special offer and its at the moment downloading both Arma 2 and the Operation Arrowhead separetely so that still counts right?

quoting failed somehow :p

Yeap, that counts, steam works differently, it'll stick the expansion in it's own folder, instead of untop of the game.
It'll still all work fine.

I wouldn't really mind paying another money to play Dayz, aslong as arma will have nothing to do with it.

You guys have no idea how much time we try to find a working server, that's all because of arma engine.

I also hope that Dayz won't go standalone for free, this will make more random players joining and destroying the fun.
