well, give it a chance this time and make it a passion to progress but not compete with top power.
little bit every day will get you farther and farther.
there is supposed to be allot more quests now as well so that should hook ya. ETA on release, under 2 weeks closer to 1
I'll admit that the first 200 levels is going to be tougher this time around, imo. The giant spider spawn is still there but they don't drop 2 mil scrolls anymore. Your best bet for the first 200 levels is to get a friend in a party for bonus XP and hunt down at the demon spawn. At 150, you can take the town key quest easily, and 175 you will get the T1 weapon in a quest south of town. I'm not going to release the locations of T2 weapon upgrade locations, because I am a nub.
However, at 200, go to Edrona and ask me or someone else online at the time (I WILL BE ONLIEN FOREVER) and they will most likely guide you to the T1 helmet/legs quest which also is a good 200 spawn.
Just so everyone knows, you can get the Edrona key on a main from a certain boss. If you make a new character after that, raise the character to 100, and that character can use the Edrona key to get faster levels in the beginning.
T3 weapons don't get a free upgrade after T2, so you will have to find gems that are looted from something with a really long name bosses and higher. You only need 3 and level 1.5k for the T3 weapon, and 3.5k and 27 gems for T4. I believe for the next upgrade it costs 243 gems to get T5. Obviously, with a T5 weapon you will be able to demolish anything that is in the 3k and lower spawns.
I didn't get to test the addon tokens addition but that is something you should know before the server starts (if you haven't read the entire thread). Every boss (hate, sin, evil, etc) have a chance of dropping addon tokens in their loot. When you get 100 of those addon tokens, you will get an outfit with the addons for it (you will only have the 4 FACC outfits to start out with).
As for donations, nothing has really been said about it besides the fact that they will not play a big role in being the top player. I do know that if you donate to the server, you will get the elf and dwarf outfit as a thanks for donating. I saw that the Archdemon outfit was in the server outfits as well but maybe that's for something else later on.
For PVP, I hope there is enough players to have a small battle sometime after release. Don't expect to be pked so often, too. I know a few who will be competing for highest level/best equipment, and they aren't douches so they won't just pk you for no reason.
All vocations are balanced imo, for example, we tested a 2k sorcerer's Obliteration spell on my 3.1k barbarian and it brought me to the beginning red stage of the health bar. Ninjas can be very good in pvp once they have 15 ml and can use Sds to attack alongside their very fast attack speed. A 2.5k ninja can kill a 3k barbarian if the barb is not careful.
If you're wondering what vocation you should choose when you start the server, if you want to have an easy time learning the server, go with a guardian. They are basically mage tanks (more hp than sorcerers/druids but less magic damage).
There are colorful stones that act as doors in this server that need a password to be opened. You can find every password to every door scattered around the server in scrolls that can look like any old scroll before being read. I suggest that you don't share the password with anyone to help keep the RPG feel of the server. I played the server for 2 weeks and have only found 3 passwords. Inside the doors, you will find either a boss, or a T1 item spawn.
You can get a promotion at level 300 for 5 ruinic tokens (500 crystal coins) which will increase your attack speed (ninjas will notice a HUGE increase in DPS)
If you see someone that is higher in the levels and you have just started with no idea what to do, message them and ask for some help. You can also go to the help channel. I'll keep that channel open whenever I'm on.
Good luck when you start and I cannot wait for this server to be released.
