He didn't have to deal with people as long as the client compile correctly without errors who ever is using it should take care if the little mistakes. Or fix it how they want it.

Every job you do in your life you gonna have to deal w people.

The client compile good for me. I was having problem installing the SDLs. but as long as it compiles good. It saves developers time At the same time. That's a lot work to just let it go. He just needed a little more marketing around OTtland and pass the word. that give a chance to us noob/new developers to probably add something. I found it because i passed thru his GIT. Otherwise I wouldn't know about his work.

He a great developer. Would have been a good idea for forgotten server to have his own custom client aslo to edit..

Hello @Night Wolf I started working on something you will be interested dm me if you want to know more (i will propably release everything on github later on but i dont want to release it now cause its not done yet.)
What im doing ?
I grabbed otclient from edubart then i smash into it a 1.0 version avaliable on github after that i rechecked it with "brazilian version" otclient 12.x br or something like that to remove as much performance fuckups as possible, after that i found old otcv8 source that was leaked (propably) a version 2.3. After i finish porting this i will move everything to 3.0 version after that anything that will be missing i will reverse the lib file provided by otcv8 dev github and add missing parts after that i will most likely will have the most stable and propably "the best" otc client ever made. if you want to join me helping me to update it feel free (i just mostly hardcoded things for 1098 because im using this version of the game (but i tried to leave the rest of the code commented out(as i remember) so it should be ok.)
im at converting 1.0 + BR version into 2.3 otcv8 version im around 60% finished (i have some framework folders to work on still there)

why im doing this ?
My old friend bring me to this topic to create old tibia PVP server (where there wasn't any skulls "as he mensioned") with rl map i think that will be cool to work on it using tfs 1.3 and custom made client with removed limitations of older ones.

"Stack items in client (items on upper floors preventing to click in an item in the screen)
Reference issue [10.98] Not able to use some items near walls with borders on top · Issue #46 · otland/otclient (https://github.com/otland/otclient/issues/46)" and it got integrated in mehah client
about message above i give up didnt have that much time to rewrite everything but was able to make some of the otcv8 modules be able to work straight on on mehah version - i just preffer to contribute to free open source then paid "who knows what"

I couldn't reply you before because I was banned from otland, did you talked already with Renato (Mehah)?
I'm still interested in seeing a free and complete version of OTC being developed by the community, but unfortunately I don't see myself included in this future. Months away from otland were exactly what I needed to realize I was here purely because I was always here and not because I liked the game, community nor the forum itself. It's most likely that I won't ever enter here again, if you want to discuss anything in particular or want me to make a bridge between you and other devs that are still engaged in making things better you can hit me in discord.

@Night Wolf now im working on security part of the client

• compilation encrypted strings in exe
• more data checked on login (will not allow to any client changes
• encryption of whole thing xD the actual one from mehah should be ok with a key in size of 256 or higher

after i made that i will focus on server size and will improve client slowly
PS. last thing i will be doing if decoding/decrypting .lib files to readable C code will be too much of trouble then i will just make modules from otcv8 work with mehah version
