Afaik Fallen has stopped/ heavily slowed work on this and is focused on other things.
He may return to it one day but imo it wont be too soon.

It is no problem to contribute, just do pull requests and I can merge them if the quality is right or Fallen can do so if he sees them.

so if this isnt gonna be finished and the new focus is on 1.0 10.10 and up what the hell we gonna use to edit maps?
1.0 will be pretty useless if we cant edit maps :S
