So why is our 8.6 server any different to all the others?

We are aware the massively popular 8.6 generation have struggled to return to their beloved client because of the use of Bots. We have created a way for you to relive that nostalgia you have when your watching back your favourite Youtube war movies. We will have two clients which you can play - the original 8.6 version and our custom 8.6 client. When you login to our custom 8.6 client all bots are BLOCKED with some amazing additional attributes! Check out the key features of our custom client below;

Key Features:

  • WAR MAP - ALL custom client players will be able to travel to our war map where you can fight eachother, with no bots!
  • PVP ENFORCED - If you are using our custom client you will gain PVP Enforced experience when in warmode, old client users wont gain any so you can see who the real pvpers are inside and outside the war map!
  • IN-GAME STORE - Custom client players will have access to the ingame store which is the same as the website but much easier in game!
  • CHARACTER SPEED - Due to bots such as Elf Bot and Magebot having a built in dash system, custom client players with no bot will have a slightly increased speed to their characters to compensate for this.

War Features for both clients:

  • UE spells will be disabled when there are 10+ players on your screen.
  • WAVE spells will have a 10 second exhaust when there are more than 10+ players on your screen.
  • AOE runes will deal 60% less damage when there are 10+ players on your screen.
  • SSA and Might Rings will have a 3 second delay on the original 8.6 client however there will be NO delay on the custom client!
  • Magic Wall timers will be randomized from 17 seconds to 22 seconds to prevent auto magic wall replacement

Character Auction:

- This function will be available from the start of the server on our website!

Real Map and Features

Our perfect 8.6 server comes with full real map including locations such as Yalahar and Farmine. You don't have to do access quests, but you are still able to do the last missions to get a reward such as In Service of Yalahar, Wrath of Emperor and so on.

Since everyone will be botting for levels anyway, lower the loot rate, make wars matter...

Not sure if we should lower loot rate, doesnt matter at all - please remember that its 8.6 so we have added some basic equipment to the shop (by basic I mean items below 50k price), as services such as djinns, rashid etc should be free.

Currently we are not going to add any bless command, so you have to buy these from npc as regular - however, if most of people will want it we are open for proposals.

What is the plan regarding custom spawns, most of the 8.6 servers got gengia oken pyre, I dont think theese islands are the way to go since there is just cities with basicly dl spawns and warlock spawns, but we cant ignore the fact that a plain 8.6 map cant hold 700 players at the same time, it will basicly be overcrowded in poi dls/okolnir frosts. Do you have any plans to add some custom spawns/custom cities, if cities, do you plan to make the cities more detailed with quests or only boat with random spawns?

Dont get me wrong, a few extra DL spawns isn't bad on a botfriendly 8.6 server, but to make a own city just for random spawns with no meaning is for me really booring, rather make a complete new city with thoose spawns but also other lowlevel/midlevel spawns that opens up the world more. Even some custom quests to gain maybe better weapons for all vocs or what ever could be the way to go, instead of all other 8.6 servers where you donate 3 euro and get donation weapons this could be an reward where it demands to have a team to clean a bigger quest, ruthless is a good idea as a follow up quest from inq/poi but maybe we could get something new in perhaps zao, force teams to make wrath of the emperor to continue that quest chain in zao?

Yea those cities are boring, I'd rather you guys reuse your assets from Askara and add it onto the map... Also monsters like Venom Dragons, Eyelords, Terrible Nightmares are way too cool to be left out... Add them somewhere

Hello, I'm not a fan of adding custom cities (thats why I decided to not add any of cities I had) but instead I rather to add exp places on an existing map, and yes we are going to do that after the server start. Currently we have focused on real 8.6 content to make everything works well and we don't want to add any new things just before server launch to make sure server is going to work well. About detailed quests, of course we will do some challenges for you in our updates.

Was thinking the same, have an island with spawns like Venoms, Nightmares etc and make and only people using custom client will be able to enter it anyway, that would be really refreshing and reward people that play manually... You could add some good tram hunt spawns there like Prison, Walls etc... Since no one would bot there that place would spark with fights always and with no bots that would be epic...

There is going to be war arena dedicated just for custom client users, it might be a good option to add there some exp places - but as I have stated before, we are not going to add any custom things before we launch.
Maybe you could somehow make that if ur xping on your custom client, with mean's ur manuling, give those 10% boost of xp ?
We will think about it and will let you know our decision till Sunday.

Cavebotters/botters should receive like 60-70% of exp.
Why the real players without bot should receive the same?

It's fair, if you don't have time/mood/hands to exp manually - put it on bot but get less exp.

My 2 cents...

1. Definantely add custom monster spawns (Venom island, Freeze Heroes, Terrible Nightmares, Demon Outcasts, etc etc) to custom city/island which you can only access via the custom client. That's a really unique way to combat botters and to keep people engaged and the server interesting. Best idea so far... Just port some city and add spawn all around that island etc if you are too lazy to make a full new city, or port something from askara if you don't have time, or just make full new island but don't let this drag out for like a month or two, it could really separate your server from others...

2. Definantely makes custom client give you an additional 10% exp to reward players that sometimes or always play manually...

3. Limit elfbot/normal client even more... Make 5 seconds exhaust on everything when 10+ are people on the screen... When dropping gold, worms, platinum, shrooms, etc, make pots give less mana to friends on normal client, I would even make a double exhaust for SIO on the normal client when 10+ people are on the screen as well since that makes Druid's OP and rest of the team unkillable, you could still sio normally if you exp in the team even on the normal client but would be limited on war.
That would be fair, you could just use custom client for war and play normally without any restrictions/exhausts just like it was back in the day on 8.6 or you could use the normal client with the bot and be limited...

4. Lower loot rate to at least 2.5x (or even 2)... Make bless cost 100k (i mean bless + all like it was back in 8.6), so people can't just suicide 24/7 which drags battles out and makes war repetitive and boring...

5. Consider lowering the time for frag from 24 to like 18h when you have pacc...

Just my suggestions to make ot even more enjoyable, everything else looks really good and best of luck.

Ad 1.
Yeh been said that we are going to add these spawns after server launch on a war map arena so it won't be just a place to fight but to exp also (just for custom client [manual players]).

Ad 2.
We are up for that, 100% information you should get on Sunday.

Ad 3.
I'm against for limitation whole game for normal 8.6 client usage. If we would want to do so, we would just block original client at all.

Ad 4.
Tonight we are opening a closed test server for our support to test such things as loot rate etc

Ad 5.
It's something that I may accept, 100% information you should get on Sunday.

Hi,

I have another suggestion to 'force' people to play manually more often and not bot 24/7 so the server dies after 2 weeks.
To be honest for me it isn't a problem you can bot, the generation of people that plays ot's nowadays just don't have time to manually hunt all the time anymore.. People have a job or even children now and can't sit at the computer hunting for 5 hours a day anymore. People wanna hunt a bit and pvp.

So my suggestion is: try to script it so the exp you get after killing a monster like e.g. 1 million times gets lowered for like 24 or 48 hours.
A bit like stamina but then specificaly for certain monsters. So people are forced to hunt manually after this, or even be bothered in making some new scripts once in a while.

Not sure if and how this can be scripted, but I think it's worth looking into.

Think about it.

Think about it.
It would be a very simple script, up to 20 minutes of work including tests, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea tbh, as we don't want to block/stop people using bots on 8.6 at all, we just want so people who are using our custom game client get some adventages. In that case, if you don't have a time to exp manualy lets say today, you are just botting your level, next day you got some free time so you are going to some nice team hunt with your teammates on war arena spawns. So these who are using custom client may exp much faster than bots, but these who don't have time still getting levels using their bots to get a fun fights. I understand that many of you would just want to block original 8.6 client at all, but it's not how we advertised it - many of people would be dissapointed. We do not rule out, however, that one day we may release the 8.6 version of the game where you will be able to play only on our custom game client [without bots].

I had some issues on my iPhone too. The menu is fixed now but the trailer on the main page seems to not be responsive which makes the whole text in the middle align on the left side. I am not sure if it’s about the video or your need to center the table with the news text. I will check the other pages tomorrow. If I find any more issues I will add those to the list. Those problem are not high priority if the server/ingame experience is as promised so far
