this version is a bit buggy, took me a while to get it working. I'm waiting for the mods to accept my thread which has a better tutorial and things (credits to Kavvson, stefanhaan, and TomCrusher of course).

When I read the code, I was wondering where to add the pictures soul/cap and edit the bg ;)?
 
download the file with characters.php and just drag it ;) and all will work

and the images 0-10.gif are used for the backgrounds and bg.gif is the background texture :)

You missunderstood me or lemme better say, I explained it bad ;)

I read the code and I didn't really reliazed it with the pictures. Of course I understand that pictures are in the image folder. In the code is written that the images files are in images/items for all items which will be shown. But for sure the bg isn't made as an item ;)?
 
Lol.. No. The right class id get's generated by the PHP code and in the stylesheet the backgrounds of the items are loaded.
