Help needed with starting the ot server

hello i have a problem cuz everytime i start any open tibia server this information comes up [22/11/2009 21:33:19] Failed connecting to database - MYSQL ERROR: Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061) (2003)

[22/11/2009 21:33:19] > ERROR: Couldn't estabilish connection to SQL database!

COuld anyone help me or tell me what to do with this as i really wanna try my self in ots but i cant even run the first one ;d

are you using xampp?

Change localhost to 127.0.0.1 in your config.lua function.
Make sure that your mysql database is up, and that you wrote correctly your user, database name, and password, and sqltype = "mysql".

If the problems continue i guess you should post your config here, also tell us if your using xampp.

Setup Mysql Database (http://localhost/phpmyadmin)
Download Website (Geisor AAC)
Whatismyip.com (test site with http://yourip/)
goto config.lua make sure its set to MySQL and not SQLite
