How do I combine different datapacks, maps and distrubutions?

hi!

As it says in the topic, If I download an 8.6 rl map from one place and a 8.6 distrubution server from another, how do I make them work together? Me and my friend has tried for 6-7 hours today with minimal success.

We cant find tutorials on the subject and there is always a bunch of errors when we copy the different maps into each other.

Is there any tutorial, walkthrou on how to do this? Thanks!

Use a datapack that is ment for your server version, for example you can use a TFS 0.3.6 datapack for a TFS 0.3.6 server.
You can also use a 0.4 datapack for a 0.3.6 server, but then you will need to makes some changes, it will often give errors about that.

If the server the datapack is made for is totaly different than the server you are using, for example a TFS 0.4 datapack for a TFS 0.2 or TFS 1.0 server, this simply won't work.
Better just use the default datapack instead and add the scripts you want to that datapack.

You can use any map in any datapack or server, only the client version of the map should be the same, or at least, the map shouldn't contain sprites that don't exist in the items.otb/client your server is using.
