Here's a sneak peek of the server, Midnight Legion OT. I mapped for 24 hours straight and did this from scratch. Credits go to my team.

@kangarew, the waterfall still makes no sense, you see, if the ship is in the sea... and full with water, 2 things will happen. The ship would sink, and disapear. However if that not be the case, The water would only be pilling over the ship if the sea was higher than the ship, which makes it impossible since that would mean its underwater... Unless the ship is at an angle & partially submerged (which in your map, blatantly isn't the case) then there is no logical explanation of it. Thats why people say it makes no sense.
I see your idea, and i'm sorry, but it can not be applied here.

HOWEVER,
the rest of your mapping is fairly decent :) keep going! :)

@up yh ships are quite hard to get perfect, but nice try anyway :) it looks fine so keep mapping :3

Well I kinda have to because I'm in the middle of a project :P But after the project I still will.. I am going to college for Video game design & animations

Stop telling all the new people to stop use autoborder, they will learn how to use Raw by themself after some time and using raw doesnt means that it will look good.
And it looks good for one of your first mappings but the mountain next to the waterfall is bugged and the islands dont look natural.
The borders look very good, especially that one next to the stair.
Agreed.
Personally I actually think its better to start with autoborder. Just practise and look at other peoples map and try to see the difference, you might see alot of detailing and using different types of walls on one house but try to not overdo it.

Good point. Although everyone says to turn autoborder off it's better to keep it on when you first start so you don't make it look worse by trying to do borders yourself.

I think it takes more then weeks to not be new to this. We are not nice to you because you are new. We are nice since you are developing and listen to the critic.

I started mapping again after a break, and finished my castle. Here it is

Put some grass next to the castle aswell so it doesnt look like its floating on water, also look at some nature tutorials. Keep on mapping.
