You might have downloaded the sound client, right ?

You may run "Kingdom Age.exe". It will launch the client w/ sound. If you want to run it without sound, you may launch "KA.exe"
 
and what is the protocol of the client?

Rofl, you are indeed noobs. I guess you guys have never heard of Brabexia....but then again thats pretty oldschool, which most n00bs would never know of.

@ the server:
Too bad some nice scripting and spriting was used on this server. If only people would contribute their talent to existing custom projects instead of starting their own which will most likely go down withina few months, they could probably go farther.
