Learning the alphabet is a smart thing to do if you're gonna learn some english, else it will be a pain in the ass looking for a word in the dictionary

This is a simple demo of how to sound out words, I'll use a word everyone knows.

Show Spelled Pronunciation: [tih-bee-uh]

Why? Usually english letters make only 2 sounds. Most of the time these sounds vary between words.

The first sound of "a" is noticed in the word "hay"
The second can be noticed in the word "asshole"

Ex. Yesterday "I" visited the president of the some random country. Later on I went home!
