Making 1st server..having big problems..Help?

I am currently in the process of creating a serer. (eldinworld) Forgotten Server 8.31

i have followed all of the instructions carefully, and the server says it is online. yet when i try to make an account, it says that the server is not online.

does anyone know why this could be happening??

You need to access to your computer with your local IP-Adress, not with your global. Other people can access the server with your global, but you can't. You have to use your local.
