Hello

Im trying to replace some borders example 567 to 4644 the problem is that the new placed id has an "empty field" were it should be "filled" with grass or whatever. I wonder if is there any solution for this?.
I tested with many REMERES MAPS EDITORS 3.2 - 3.5 - 3.6 every editor has the same problem
and the bug is obviously visible in-game

I think you'll have to fill it manually with grass or wtv like this (you only put the grass above/on the border) or maybe mappers has an easier solution not sure.

Borders works this way now.

Before you had to put water and on top of that a grass border.

Now you have to put a border and fill it with whatever ground you want - CIP did this most likely to avoid having to make a border id for each type of ground as they knew they were going to have more grounds than water varieties.

So if you are swapping sprites while still using an old version, you'll have to swap water aswell and fill the border with whatever ground you want. - Not sure (actually I'm pretty sure you'll have to) if you'll have to do some edit somewhere (think its items.otb or .dat I'm no expert) so the border is actualy placed on top of the ground instead the other way around like it used to be before...

I think it need an edition in order to make the replacement function work properly, but i have no idea how.
want to know a way to bypass this fas. I know there should be some, because to do what you or m0stafa stated above would be a hell, since there are hundreds borders and fix this is way too much. example im tryng to do this into rl map.

any tips? i'll try

I would personally recommend you to replace the existing borders with grass itself. That means there are no borders anymore for a moment.

After that:
One solution to make them appear again is to use go over with autoborder and the ground from terrain this needs some effort though.
The second solution would be to use the "autoborder brush" with a size of 9x9 for example and drag over the water edges of the island. That's an easy way to identify issues directly and fix them just whenever they appear.

I think there is no ad-hoc solution for it. But there might be some other ideas coming up.

Good luck.
Cheers

Best thing you can do is to copy entire 7th floor to a new instance, replace all borders like you do, go to higher floor, cover all empty tiles with grass (you can just draw a huge rectangle that covers everything) and then just simply move entire continent on top of the grass. That's what I usually do to fill in empty space, saves a lot of time.

I've done it here, it's basically the same idea:
