Okay so my server something happens to it where players or staff can't login including myself so I close the server in the launcher (same as the /closeserver command) and then I open it
and POOF it works again but then anywhere from 1-30 hours later it does it again... any idea as to how this is happening?
 
I dont know alot about this stuff, but check the logs of your server and put in here any errors or something 'unusual' you see, that could help to solve your problem.
 
Happened this to me a few months ago, it was like a connection problem, I switched to another network in Linux and this never happened again.
Btw, what TFServer version you're using? :)
 
I think this could have to do with a faulty reload command, try to relogg, if it works try to /reload something and then relogg..
 
I tried all of the reloads but it didn't effect anything. As we alllll know creatureevents cant be reloaded because for some reason it causes a crash in most cases.
 
You need to make a "STATIC IP ADDRESS". I believe what is happening is every so odd hours your iprange switches ips. Thus kicking people from the server. A static ip makes your ip one set ip forever so people can always log on and stay logged on.I could be wrong but i really think thats the problem. Google "static ip adress" followed by your operating system and you will find tutorials on how to do it. hope you can get it working!

If you need help with setting up a static ip just let me know, i have dealt with those alot (had to do it with my computer). if you have teamviewer i am more than willing to try to get it running for you.
 
No. You don't want advice don't ask. Every router/modem/ whatever has an ip range of about 7 ip addresses. It goes between them at different times.

So.. I was playing lastnight (around 3 am) United states/canada EST) and the server stopped allowing people including myself to logon. It does it during the afternoon/evening sometimes too.
 
have you tried using a domain host that redirects to your ip.. THE only thing i can think of is that your ip is dynamic.. are you SURE yours is just static?
