Hi, @Kresh170

It's fair point, but I, also as an amateur, came out with counclusion that at this moment it's easier for several people to download 2 files and exchange them at tibia/OTC installation folder than trying to make dedicated, full of bugs, client. (These files still make you ale to play other 8.0 servers)

With little time I have to spend on my hobby project, I am focused at making more in-game content, talking with players or just playing the game (which is the reason of creating it).

If you still want to try my server, send me private message here and I will try to help you.
 
Very nice server, I recommend it to everyone who likes new systems on servers, such as alchemy or additional weapon and equipment attributes.

I recommend it to all older players. A great server in these times when it's hard to find active players. Active and friendly administration help can be obtained every day. Interesting map with hidden areas.

With the Christmas Event going to the end, we present you small gift to encourage newcomers and let have fun another way.

We organise a lottery in which everyone can participate - there are 100 slots; every person can buy up to 2 slots for 50k ea. Every newcomer (after this announcement) has one free slot and 2nd for 30k.
To register your slots write your numbers in dedicated channel on discord. Pass the correct amount of gold to GM Criz or GM Rlx in-game, and we will mark your post as verified.

Reward list and lottery date will be announced next monday.

Our small lottery has ended and in the result the most desirable item has been drawn! The Box of Excellence +5 contains most powerful items in the game, but this time it gave not very wanted item.. (looks like the server needs a club fighter > 8 lvl ^.^).

The server is having lesser activity lately, but still people are gathering to team fight bosses or end-game tasks. Join us to spend some time in winter-ish atmosphere and have fun playing and discovering something totally different, but still in classic feeling!

Server's activity has dropped, but it doesn't stop me from working on the expansions.
During last month world of Rafidea gained:
  • many new features (for example high lvl group quests which after first completing may be tried by 1-4 players as a daily challenge, with different rare and unique prizes to obtain e.g. phoenix shield, hat of the mad, boe 4, boe5);
  • engine update which removed many bugs (summons limit bug, parcel system bug, bp overfilling);
  • new areas and paths to explore with hidden quests;
  • removed winter aura from main cities;
  • reworked crucial quests e.g. DHQ, Anni, Soft Boots quest to make it more challenging and balanced and reworked several exp areas (Demons, Undead Dragons, Warlocks);
.. and many more which I will not point out, because it doesn't mean anything to people who didn't try the server yet. :p

Every changes are listed at the discord channel.
Future updates will focus on balance and fun - a rework of custom wands, staves, bows and crossbows will take place in following weeks - to make gameplay of distance vocations more enjoyable.
It is a good opportunity to try Rafidea before future relaunch, altough it will not take place soon.

Happy you’ve continued on with your project even when your player activity has decreased, however with that being said, knowing that your player activity has decreased, you should focus on more soloable content

Well, the server is crafted for my own entertainment so things that I'm adding are prepared in a way to be completed solo (everything despite anni can be soloed). Every other player profits me and server. And future changes will certaintly be focused on soloists. :) As long as I'm having time and fun from creating/playing it - it will live.

In last updates I've introduced new custom mechanics for wands, staves, bows & crossbows. It will balance distance fighting vocations and give more fun from them with opening new possibilities of builds, especially after future server's restart, which will be much slower-paced.

Server's exp rates are now boosted indefinitely for testing purposes to stages:
10x for lvls 1-120
8x for lvls 121-150
6x for lvls 151-180
5x for lvl 181-220
4x for 220+

Now level 100 is easily reachable within 2 days!
In the meantime minor/major updates, changes and fixes will be implemented and this state will be set for a longer period.

Due to demand by our discord community, the server is opened again for testing purposes, as it was moved to newer engine.
Tests will last untill V4 will be ready to start (after implementing fixes and content that we will accept to start with).
For now enjoy learning Rafidea with setting close to THIS POST.

Last 3 weeks spent on testing, fixing, adding and adjusting things brought us quite some good time but there is still a lot to do. However, at this point its already quite fun to play.
To encourage newcomers to come in and check out, since next friday (22th Dec) newly created characters will start from level 50 with skills 75 for knights and paladins, and 55 mlvl for mages.


Skill rates are now increased to x15 from x10 and magic lvl to x6 from x3.
Exp rates will also rise by 1x or 2x per stage.

Since now the loot rate is set to 3x and excellent items drop rate is higher by 50%.

Development is going slow, but steady. Within two months after opening, many changes and improvements have been implemented. Despite some QoL things (like 'sell all' options, alternative healing rune and others) the simple crafting system for excellent items was introduced. Instead (oftenly OP) excellent items, players now obtain blueprints of excellent items from boxes of excellence to create them using two basic versions of the item with 65% chance of success. There are items that guarentee success and later there will be more success improving ones.

To make all items obtainable in-game (over 350 basic and exc versions) new challenges need to be created.
In the nearest days work will be focused to release the midgame and endgame challenges, with the peak content in the shape of these two, known for many, beings from hell:

If you are looking for a fun, nostalgic 8.0 server with feeling similar to yurot/karmia to chill, grind or whatever - Rafidea might be a good option for you!
For quite a long time I am developing this needle for myself and a pack of enjoyers but we are hoping to gather more people for a proper start in the future.
This is a project from a passionate (maybe low skill with not much time, but still!) just for pure fun - without any paid shops and dull ideas like spoofing, abusing gm etc.


Lately the server had improved monster behaviour (thanks to @ralke and @Itutorial sharings), corrected skill/atk formulas which made the battle feel as smooth and satisfying as ever.

I have also introduced:
  • Pits of Inferno, modified to fit this world style
  • a challenging dungeon, for mid-game lvls, with multiple stages that must be completed within 1 hour - The Forgotten Temple
  • client for android

Currently I am working on guides on a website to make the start easier for newcomers, because the world and systems are unique and imho quite refreshing, but need some knowledge to be fully enjoyed.

The map is a consistent blend of own creation (e.g. all cities) with areas taken from other different servers or sometimes real map so in some parts you be familiar with.

We are considering the character wipe, but definitely not before holidays.

I am resurrecting this needle for my oldies. The server will be restarted in about 30 minutes. Server rates are visible at the website. Altough it is not a full release yet, you can still enjoy discovering it for hours.
