If there was a server that had an equipment system like Path of Exile or Diablo then I'd cry.
No need to cry. But you should know that I have equipments in Whi World what make the character building as complex as these 2 games have.
Whenever I add 1 new item to game, I just don't add a equipment slot to switch out. I add as many more new possibilities of building your character as many other items there are in game.
Yes of course all not all the items have synergies, specially in early game, because I didn't want to confuse players so hard with all the possible options they actually have.
However there will be always some synergies and in long run when I keep adding new items, players can build they characters in hundreds of different ways.
In addition the way I build new PVE content to Whi World, is to exploit the weaknesses of their builds they come up with.
Yes I'm well aware that players can already get 100% resistance to certain types or render some monster attacks to heal the player instead of doing damage, but this how I designed PVE.
I want them to be challenged by content, I want them to feel godlike when they beat the content and as rewards I give them new items to brainstorm even more ridicules builds.
