I could run almost the same on P4 3GHz, 2GB and 100MBits.
Hardware doesn't have anything to it.

i never get 300 players with one server mine but you hardware is very nice this is because of high cpu usage bug i think

yes, the high cpu issue may be causing it to your server just like to mine =\ ... i sent the log of the gprof to talaturen wait his answer, while this you have to restart your server when reach and stuck in 100% process =\

the high cpu bug appears to be only in servers wich are 40~50+ players playing, but I still not found what is causing it.

ps: i repeat this is not the "runonhealth bug", cause i've already set runonhealth=0 in monsters file

Faramir, I know.
It works for hour or two with cpu usage less than 50%, then grows to 100% and stays there.
Nothing else than restart to solve.

Look, now I have 170 players with 104 minutes uptime. In few minutes it should begin (the lagging).

Another thing that i've just discover, the servers was lagging when it was 80~100 ppl on and 1h uptime (yes at this time was just 1 hour to get lagged =\ ), when players was going to sleep (mid night here now), server with 20~30 players on the process just return to 2~5% ... well, i don't think that is something related to the number of players online ... i think that it is something related to the number of monsters (ans their summons) activated ...

what I suppose to give a try in the monsters try to improve them based into the pure svn (i don't know if svn is bug to but I guess not) ...

please tala help us ... i know a lot of hosters that have just change to 8.1 and became forgotten users but everyone of them who got a server with 60players + online is getting the same problem ... we don't know what to do anymore just call for your help =\

Problems with the otadmin protocol, the shutdown command isn't working.

OTAdmin window:
[sendMsg] error while reading - 0
[sendCommand] error while sending command
[shutdown] error in server shutdown

I know i read whole topic, but everyone just tell "I HAVE LAG AFTER X WITH QUADCORE", didn't tell anything useless, i'm just telling things that I think could be useless to him...

Nobody else is using TFS?

Nobody is reporting the bugs not even interested in fixing thems :(

My server is using more CPU now than before that "fix" (I know, I know... that is from avesta).

another thing that I've find out, the high cpu issue is something related to the use of memory by the server. Something is loading on memory but is not been erase after it uses.

I decided to do this after I see that my server was going to stuck at 100% when the use of memory by the server was around 10% total mem. Look:
