[RPG] Ascension - Discussion Thread

blossom road.webpserver will be available pretty soon, with tons of new changes and gameplay reworks (big update)


  1. moved from open world to expeditions
  2. expeditions now have timed buffs inside the area which u can see before entering
  3. expeditions have different pvp types, pvp enforced, open pvp (classic), non pvp zones
  4. better buffs and event are always on pvp enforced zones,
  5. pvp enforced zones will be open pvp but players wont be penalized on death.
  6. introducing ascended system (once reaching certain level threshold u are eligible for ascension wich will remove your level and progression and grant u an ascension orb)
  7. ascension orbs - grants permanent stat boots to any player of your account that uses it (stack-able)
  8. recycling station, drag and drop window were u can sell all your items, money is calculated based on item quality.
  9. new city and new maps are now available
  10. shields/abortions implemented
  11. many talents and spells now apply shields
  12. finally the new bot supported by ascension will be available (targeting, spell casting supported)(cave-bot remains banned)
  13. new task system implementation with re-rolls, locks and new a cool rewards.
  14. task system now suggest tasks based on your level
  15. all tasks are always generated different, so amount, monsters and rewards always change based on the rarity shown and your fame level.
  16. fame is now introduced as a global currency.
  17. new fame NPCs introduced with more items and variety, more npcs will be implemented soon.
  18. Ui changes implemented
  19. inventory ui has better display of items and slot positions
  20. new task tracker implemented in-game, no new window needed
  21. new health bar status now show above each player, with different colors replesenting diferent states, such as: inparty, player, pk, npc, monster, summon, inmyparty, iminparty.

  23. materials changed on all recipes (no longer u require herbs, ores and wood)

  25. gathering profession no longer grants materials
  26. gathering profession changes: mining will now grant passive buffs for each level and grant fame and chance to drop essences (crafting material), similar as other professions.
  27. all monster have received a level and damage update, since level distribution is different.

looking pretty good. How are you doing the graphics? Looks like a lot of work, in conjuntion with the server itself
it is alot of work, taking in mind i also redid the whole server from scratch several times cuz it wasnt what i wanted, this version is the best one imo

  • none existing monsters removed from tasks
  • added more tasks to toask pools with existing monsters
  • task monsters now display their proper level
  • task that are generated with several monsters will be counted as one not individual monsters for completion
  • task now should grant rewards correctly
  • community events now correctly reward players with event tokens
  • snail racing match was removed from the events pool till is improved
  • fixed several talent nodes conections
  • fixed several talent nodes triggers and condition applications like burning and poison from talents
  • reduced the amount of gold obtained from gold orbs
  • fixed several map spots with broken stairs or paths
  • fixed lumelia dungeon exit and stairs issue
  • monsters kill now have a chance to grant you codex essence if monster is near your level
  • elite monsters from death orbs now will also grant you a guardian essence
  • reduced cost for famous backpack
  • fixed several items that were not granting attributes correctly coming qualities
  • fixed pets eggs not letting you resumon after they die and you log out
  • pets passive regen increased drastically from 1-2 /s to 5-7/s
  • some items have proper description about their damage profile
  • the griffin card damage calculation based on current speed was reduced by 500%
  • fixed an issue were players were able to craft for free
