I understand that you have the right to close any thread.

I understand some threads are completely offensive and completing random that there's no reason to explain why closing.

But, one of my threads have been closed and I get really annoyed by the fact there's no definite explanation on why it's closed.

I think you moderators, global moderators, and/or admins should explain the reason why the thread was closed or deleted unless it's totally common sense (eg. pornography, offensive, racist and so on).

I understand that there has been threads similar to this, I understand that you're annoyed by the fact we complain a lot, but just giving 10 seconds and explain the reason of thread closure instead of completely closing it can benefit us members by understanding the reason why our post has closed, that way it will never happen again.


Please do not take this as a threat towards you guys.

Thanks for reading, hopefully we can make some changes around here.

No offense to any staff but this has gone on long enough in my opinion, from censoring otfans to deleting threads. I remember I got an infraction for saying ot-fans while back.

but thats besides the point, ever heard the saying "Don't stoop to their level" You may not be calling them names but you're still censoring things from their forums. Be the better "man" and act mature. They call otland names, you ignore it...I feel like im talking to a 3rd grader about bullies...this is ridiculous.

Yes, we had that policy back in the days, bypassing censored words = infraction. We still have that policy, but otfans is no longer censored.

But still, otfans development topics doesn't belong here, I don't think you would go to Otfans to discuss one of the servers in our hosted project boards, would you? That's the exact same thing.

Neither I see the reason why we should delete a thread that's simply about an otserver as long as it is like there're already many. Although I find that deleting discussion threads about our competition suitable.

1. I "bypassed the censor" because everyone else did and it was annoying. Also it wasn't in the rules, but idc its not a big deal. Your forums.

2. If i did goto OTfans I probably would talk about them, and then we'd have this exact same thread over there. But I don't goto OTfans. The main reason people want to discuss things that are at OTfans is because they don't want to personally login over their because its..."not good" so by deleting the threads about that stuff, you are forcing them to login to OTFans, thus helping their forum out.

We aren't forcing anyone, if the user wants to get more information about the censoring between Otland and otfans then the user will choice what to do so he/she either doesn't or goes searching through the forums for answers, and you don't really need to sign-up to search nor to read.

So there's no use for a discussion when there is already 10+ threads about the same thing you probably referred to.

I'm just saying if you allowed people to post threads that contain content from OTfans then they wouldn't have to personally go there and it would save them time, and keep them from that horrid place(IMO).

Well, you guys forgot 1 point. To talk about another Open-Tibia Discussion Forum on one, such as Official OTServers when the other Open-Tibia Discussion Forum already has one, can be disrespectful towards the Open-Tibia Discussion Forum. I say Open-Tibia Discussion Forum because there are MANY out there. But 1 is only the best... OTLand.NET

Some moderator's over power discussion "General" rules, but like they say, most likely, there is a 9-11year old on here, probably saying "mommy, look at the avatar" for example. And it's a hot woman in panties. You can't really override there judgement now can we?
