While our entire team is full focus on scaling Archlight content to handle the massive population coming to Avuria, we have been hard at work also setting up over 30 content creators that will be playing Archlight, for a combined 7000 average concurrent viewers (yes, almost the entire tibia section is playing Avuria xD)! With streamers like buozzi, rubini and nattank on board, who bring in collectively 3500 concurrent viewers! Avuria is already drawing massive attention, with streamers who were never before interested due to the Archbot, now enthusiastic to go hard on Avuria's Launch. So we decided to share with you some of the content creators streaming Avuria!

Additionally, we have a few more patch notes leading into Avuria! (Most of what we've been doing has been backend things to optimize the servers for launch to handle the population concerns so we can have as many people online at once as possible without having to add a queue!)

Spell Icons Revamped

We have reworked all the spell icons on Archlight so that they are much more representing of what spell they are for. Previously, it was quite confusing which icon goes with which spell, primarily because these cooldown icons never played a huge role due to the ArchBot. However we've heard your concerns, and have overhauled all the spell icons to be much more fitting to the spell attached!

Samurai

Cyclone blade base cooldown reduced from 7s > 5s

Tamer

Tamer Pet Spell Buffs are now toggle-able to reduce crazy spam while playing tamer and using your pet

Misc

Mimic scroll cost reduced from 25at > 10at

One concern going into Avuria is the boost coming from day 1 crates. Crates are our main form of revenue for Avuria, and while we stripped a massive chunk of the shop, removed LAT's, Promotion Tokens and Cosmetic Tokens, we still need to have a revenue source to continue development and further build Archlight's future. So we have made some further changes to Archlight Crates to suppress the day 1 benefits from crates!
:dogeKek:

We have removed the guaranteed upgrade stone from crates, and instead added them into the random roll category splitting chance with stat stone. Meaning instead of a 70%~ chance of obtaining a stat stone every crate AND an upgrade stone, you will now have a chance at either one, totaling 70%. Additionally, the other big concern on crates was charged gems, we have removed these completely from crates and now are only inside legendary crates.

Avuria launches in 50 hours.

Less than 24 hours until Avuria's Launch

Some things to keep in mind going into Avuria's Launch tomorrow!

1. The rate of progress is far slower. More so when awakened, but pre-awakened as well. Dont expect to hit awakened on launch day, or maybe even launch week. Avuria is a year long season, it's a marathon, not a race! (however, it's also a race).

2. Upgrade rates are slower on gear. +15 full set will be far more valuable and rare than +15 set on Ildar or Dracona. This also means overall progression will feel harder and slower as well, as you may be a certain level where content feels harder than usual, because of the weaker upgrades and stats.

3. The ArchPass is available for everyone to progress in, the progress from it is very relevant. Make sure you are progressing your ArchPass for progression tokens to buy upgrades, stat stones, enchantment boxes and more. For new players this will also help teach you the systems of Archlight and ways to most optimally use your time.

4. While the bot has been removed, meaning alot less people will simply be on when not playing, we are preparing for a large influx of players, especially come prime time Saturday. We have a massive amount of content creators playing Archlight, however some are starting after the weekend or during the weekend. This is a blessing as it will give us a chance to have some early game spawns clear a bit, as well as hopefully not lead to any massive queues, however, those may come next week. We have put a queue system in place already just incase.

5. Launch is also earlier than a launch has been. It's already at 7am (or 20 hours from now). This is so we can best handle the larger population, allowing people to slow roll in a bit more as alot of NA, and NA streamers, will be logging in later in the day.

6. Have fun! We put alot of love and passion into Avuria, and we hope you all enjoy it and a new pace of Archlight

Just thought I'd like to give a little feedback.

First things first.... The client. Now to test the stability completely, I have a 10 year old laptop. I've been running archlight on it for about 14 hours straight now. My laptop is still going surprisingly. Not to mention it would heat up like a mofo with other servers and games. But archlight it's actually cool. Running smoothly.... High fps. Wtf? Whatever you guys did .. it's just mint.

Now, I went and browsed the in-game shop. (I haven't played archlight for well over a year) my god all the p2w shit gone. Totally revamped. Wtf? I mean a good wtf. But damn. Love that part.

No bot... Well this is a no brainer for me. I'm a manual player. So I love that there's no bot on the new world.

1 year season length? Love it.

Seriously great job to you and all you ur staff.

Happy gaming all and best of luck!

Insane second day everyone! Breaking over 600 players concurrent! It's so cool to see so many new faces, not only in-game but also on our discord! Additionally, nearly 30 accounts have been permanently banned for macro/bot abuse. We are keeping an aggresive monitor on it, and we will make sure Avuria stays an even playing field for everyone! I wanted to share a few things that we are currently working on implementing as soon as possible!

1. Merging the 4 bard party buffs into 1 spell. This is a ton of spam for a bard to do, and it doesn't feel like it adds anything more to the game forcing them to use this every 25 seconds.

2. Adding in an action bar - this will come in with our next client build

3. An even further improved walking for extremely high ping users (250-300), making it super smooth as well! (However, comes with the rare impact issues with creatures, but completely worth it..)

4. Adjusting the test of skill / strength tasker to give tasks that are not a single specific creature, but a sub type (IE all trolls, instead of just a normal troll)

5. Heavily nerfing the addon tasks (amount of kills required) and increasing the addon items obtained by them

6. Heirloom Mounts are being added to the minor cosmetic token NPC!

7. A fix to the missing wild boss teleports (in duplicate spawns)

8. And we have a huge additional banner campaign going on otservlist, as well as a ton of streamers playing this week! (ones that couldn't play launch weekend).

Thanks everyone for the incredibly kind and supportive words! It means the world to our team that Avuria is such a success and being enjoyed by so many

Patch Notes March 9th

Todays patch is more of an emergency patch and a day earlier than we had originally planned to patch. Also with far less notice than we usually like to give. However, we feel some changes must get in today and cant wait until tomorrow. To be clear, this means we will not do a usual Tuesday patch tomorrow. Again, we have alot more changes/improvements that will be coming. These are just what we're prepared to push today. We're working on a ton right now as a team.

Unique Player Count

First off, we just want to thank everyone for the huge success Avuria has been player wise. Sharing with your friends, alot of big streamers playing off-contract as they've fallen inlove with the game (more so, the no-bot version of the game!). We have completely surpassed every unique player count record we've had in 5 years!! This is the stat us as a team care most about, as its the best accurate repesentation not including multiple characters and simply online time. A massive new community of players, so cool to see so many faces, and just an overwhelming amount of positive feedback from everyone.

While we dont release exact numbers, we do really want to share with you a snippet from the first 4 days of Avuria's Unique Player Count compared to the most recent EU and NA seasons. While EU and NA have very exceptional player counts on launches as well, Avuria has simply exploded, and it's super exciting to us! Thanks so much for any support by donating, telling your friends to come play, and spreading the word! These numbers are exceptionally exciting as today is only 14 hours through and we've already skyrocketted past the weekend numbers.

Misc Fixes/Changes

Added Wild Boss Portals to the new revamped spawns

The Heirloom Shop Mounts are now available from the Seamstress NPC for ingame minor cosmetic tokens

Addon tasks kill requirements have been heavily nerfed, and many their rewards increased as well.

Assemble Levels on spell book fixed

We have removed the creatures that you cannot access currently from Test of Skill & Strength.

Class Changes

Evocation level required changed from 100 > 50

Evocation now will at minimum yield 100 mana per tick

Holy Flash buffed by 100%

Many Druid and Sorcerer low level spells have had their mana cost drastically reduced.

Free Crates & Keys on Level Up

Players will now obtain free Archlight Crates & Archlight Keys as they progress through 1-1500. Obtaining 1 crate & key at level 250, 2 crate & keys at 500, 3 at 1000, and 5 at 1500.

Archlight Lootcrate Changes

Archlight Lootcrates will now also have a chance to give bounty cards.

Archpass fixes & changes

We have improved the diversity of the rewards obtained from the Archpass, Free and Premium versions. Both versions will now give more frequently Bounty Hunt Cards, as well as both versions will now give large stat stones, Archlight Crates & Keys and more.

Premium pass owners will receive both free and premium rewards, regardless of whether it's the same reward or not (this was a bug).

Fixed a bug where unactive tasks were being completed.

Awakening Level "bug"

Regarding the Awakening 0 "bug". It's not a bug. It is just a mixture of our awakening progress nerfs as well as Power Ratings. To be clear, we want awakening to be a hard wall for players, it's when endgame begins, and on Avuria, endgame isn't completed in 2 weeks. However, awakening experience is both directly and indirectly affected by players power rating. Directly, as dungeons experience given scales based on your power, and indirectly in terms of how fast creatures are killed, how often essences are found, and more. This is something we didn't consider when making the balance adjustments, and thus will be changing the experience rates to be 5x faster at awakening 0 then currently.

What that means is yes, it is much slower, that's on purpose. No, it isn't meant to be as slow as it currently is. Yes, power plays a massive role in how fast you exp at awakening.

Monster essence

In case of a party, only the players that are close to the dead monsters may receive the random essence bonus

Reward boxes

Dungeon medals are now all soulbound on all reward boxes

Rift

The gear NPC only accepts soulbound dungeon medals

Autochess

Fixed a bug that caused some games to freeze

Coming Next Client Build (Likely next Tuesday)

"Classic Tibia View" where you have a fixed screen region instead of full screen, with dedicated spacing for your UI without losing any of your screen. It will be optional to use whichever viewer you prefer!

Spell Action Bar

Hey everyone! While we have some changes that we want to get in ASAP due to them heavily affecting early game progressing, our programming team needs to take a bit of a rest, it's been a really long last 6 days for us working on all the Avuria stuff basically 16 hours a day, and so while we would like to do another patch this week, we will be waiting till our usual patch day moving forward which is Tuesday. However, we did want to share some of the stuff that we have planned to come in on Tuesday's Patch (And Client Patch).

Spell/Item Action Bar
Classic Tibia Viewer Option
Increasing the Minimum Base Heal Amount on all healing spells by 300-400% (This will be really nice especially for lower level players)
Combining the 4 Bard Buffs into 1 spell (Save your fingers)
Making Rune Emblems activate simply by putting them in the rune slot, not having to activate it anymore (seems unneeded).

We will have alot more improvements coming as well, however these are the ones we plan to have in on Tuesday currently! :")

Much love from our team
:FeelsLoveMan:

Patch Notes March 12th

Base heal amount of all healing skills has been increased substantially, including evocation and strong evocation. This is to help new players progressing (especially at very early levels) while not affecting mid/late game balance.

We have decided that the 2x experience event has brought awakening levels to a state that feels much more accurate to what we wanted to achieve for experience rates. So we have decided that this 2x rate will be the new permanent rate for Avuria. So dont sweat, it wont end on Monday!

Additionally, we further buffed the experience rates of killing creatures when awakened (this is already live, it only affects creature experience, not essences from creature kills)

You will now obtain free stat reset potions on level up (for anyone past early levels, you will receive them all next level up).

Stat Reset Potions have been removed from the Arch Shop. Instead, they have been added to buy with Archlight Tokens from the Token Exchanger!

Enflaming Enchantment has been re-added into the game for Guardians. It will now proc on attack and damage based on power. It will likely require future balancing as it's been rather heavily reworked

Bard Wave area of effect changed, now will also hit the caster's side (same as Vortex Breath).

All Bard Buff Spells have been combined into one spell, Buff Party.

Samurai tile added to Seven Trials.

More revamps/balances to the addon tasks!

A few days later and I'm still having immense fun. It's great that all the vocations have dynamic experiences, like, they all feel way more different than they used to. Some vocs are even better on Archlight 2.0.

Samurai actually feels quite slow peaced.
I'm quite surprised with gunslinger AoE capabilities.

Edit:
Also is that Archlight Token farming legal? People are having like bunch of MC just to farm those AT every 30min and just flooding depo with unused chars.
Maybe introduce some limitation like u get AT every 30min but like past lv500 or something? Or combine it with soul or something that you would have to gain by hunting.

Welcome to ArchLight....
That to me looks quite unappealing. If Avuria is nobot server such stuff should not be ok either...
But I guess we have differen aesthetics...

wheres all the streamers loving this server? i havent seen any play since first days of launch. and those were paid to play ^^
im also curious how everyone has 4 mcs logged in permenantely. and there is no bot ingame, how do they to stay online 24/7? No log out timers?how can all these characters be reported on otservlist as real players @xinn ?. By the way guys, if you want to play it maybe theres 100 real players. Not worth playing.

They're not reported as players. That's why our in-game number is 80-90 more than otservlist :)

Xinn is free to check our servers anytime he wants, as he frequently has.

Also you clearly dont play, as you'd see in-game the streamers playing day after day despite majority of their sponsorships being over (not to mention under 40% of them were even sponsored :) )

Anyways, your location gives enough away. It's still flattering how involved you are in our project despite being so adamantly against it, that alone is a huge compliment (to literally track streamers and if they're streaming Archlight/Not streaming Archlight, quite obsessive - which means alot to us).

Appreciate the free bumps :)

Patch Notes March 18th
PatchNotesSite.png

Account Wide Cosmetics

You will now have an option in your outfits window to push your cosmetics to all characters on your account.

Solo Quests Enabled

Any quest that has been completed 7+ days ago will now have it's solo version unlocked for players to challenge!

Rune Emblem Change

Now to activate your rune emblem you simply need to put it in your Rune Emblem Spot. You will no longer needs to also "activate" it.

Various Map Fixes (Fixed PZ Abuse Spot in Anni and more)

Lodestone Boss Summons Bug Fix

Classic Tibia Viewer

Will be added in in a future client build (likely this week), we had it ready working in yesterdays tests, however an unexpected bug has come up with it, so we will push an optional client update once we resolve the current issue.

Katanas added to the market

Test of Strength/Skill Improvement

New Test of Strength/Skill will use subcategories of creatures instead of specific creatures, meaning no more going to a spawn trying to find a single version of the creature to kill)

Updated Test of Strength's dialogue to say the option "active", that shows your active tasks.

Rebalanced Death/Desert rifts damage.

We will be patching at 12:00pm PT (in 3.5 hours). Patch Notes can be found above. Additionally, as you guys can see in the in-game Event Calendar, This Friday from 12:00pm PT > Monday 12:00pm PT all dungeons on all servers will have 2x rewards! Meaning open one dungeon chest > get 2 dungeon boxes to open!

Something we don't do too often (primarily as it takes a bit of time to put together), however we wanted to share some extra data with everyone here on the last 2 weeks, as it's been quite an exciting one :")

While the vocation breakdown is valuable for us in terms of balancing, and it will be used in our upcoming balance patch, keep in mind this data only means so much and many external factors play in to these things, such as healers/tanks are usually low in any MMORPG (people wanna durmageee), Berserker is one of the most new player/forgiving classes, and gunslinger has a relatively low hotkey "kit" with exploding rounds.

Anyways, enjoy!
