Correct, most are just out of the box OTCv8, because their UI or gameplay is essentially tibia with a few additions. We've put quite a bit of work into our mobile client, but yea you're correct others have mobile clients as well
 
Backpacks and Trinkets are being removed from the LAT shop and added back to the PT shop for the upcoming Dracona season (and future Ildar seasons as well).

New Season, Big Plans
Our team has worked incredibly hard over the last few months to prepare a literally game changing season for you all. Something we have felt more and more over the last year has been a growingly stale meta. Sure it slightly changes season to season with balances and system changes, but ultimately, classes are played very much the same.

We wanted to completely mix the meta up, bring fresh life into Archlights meta to veterans and new players alike, and a heck of a lot more customization and build variations for you all to explore! Based on the massive jump in discord activity, this design shift is being very hyped and well received so far, we cant wait to see the new builds that come from the meta shift!



Awakening System Revamp

Each skill now has 4 available awakening effects, 1 guaranteed and then 3 for a player to choose to further awaken.

Players can now choose between 12 different skills (10 spells, soul rune & auto attack) instead of just the previous 5. However only 5 skills can be awakened at a time, but these can be changed anytime not in combat. This will allow for over 364 new combinations on how you play your class!

And a little extra cookie for you all. Every single awakening variation is now available to view on our wiki - Revamped Awakening (https://archlightonline.gamepedia.com/Revamped_Awakening)

Android Mobile Client

Accessibility is everything, and everyone has a mobile phone. So a big focus for us has been developing a mobile client for Archlight that connects directly to our main game servers (not a mobile-only version of Archlight). While some other projects have released hardly usable & bloated mobile clients, ours is significantly more useful, dynamic & playable. With a streamlined mobile UI, full Archbot support, and many other QoL improvements, you can now play ALL of Archlight on the go. Waiting for the bus? Run a quick dungeon while you wait. In class? PAY ATTENTION! - Or make sure you dont miss that Jorus Run while the teacher rambles for an hour ;)

The new mobile client will be available for all servers on the launch of Dracona!


Targeting System Improvements
The targeting systems logic has been completely redone, resulting in a significantly smoother experience on low end and mid-range machines. No more lagging in Darksteel! Heck, no more lagging anywhere.

Lowered Rates - Longer and Better Season
Due to another overwhelmingly positive community feedback and reception, the awakening experience rates on Dracona will be further slightly lowered to make a more engaging and natural progression experience. Past changes were very well received and we feel a slight increase may aid even further to making the most ideal progression rate. To be clear, the change is only applied to awakening levels and will not slow down the 1-1500 progress rate which we feel currently is near perfect.



Backpacks & Trinkets back to Promotion Tokens
Backpacks and Trinkets have been removed from the LAT shop and added back to the PT shop for the upcoming Dracona season (and future Ildar seasons as well). We didn’t like the fact that these 2 essential slot items we’re locked in a season to season cost for the user. This isn’t a fun way to support our project, it’s a nuisance way, we want to make sure you guys feel good supporting what we have built over the last half a decade and continue to build everyday.

This Anniversary snuck up on our team out of nowhere… we’ve had our heads down so much on some of the most fun development we’ve done in years, that we totally forgot our anniversary was coming up until it was mentioned by a player in our discord! But it’s our 5th Anniversary! We cannot miss it! - holy shit it’s been half a decade of Archlight…

Our 5th Anniversary will come a bit later than the actual date. This is to make sure Dracona also gets involved on it (and gives us time to make the anniversary event even bigger and better for all three servers to enjoy!).

This years anniversary will be the biggest yet, with more in-game things to do, and more free stuff than ever before! Oh, and cake. Lots and lots of cake.

Archlight’s 5th anniversary events will be live on all servers on September 18th!


Dracona Cosmetic Races
The Achievement Point Races were very well received on the last NA and EU, so we have decided we will be continuing this with even more winners! We have doubled most the amount of cosmetic winners for all 5 races, additionally, the 150 achievement point race is now unlimited!

All cosmetics will be teased 2 days before launch!

This was requested several dozen times now… so we listened! Your Archpass progression will now unlock you achievement points!

As usual, we will certainly have more notes and things to share leading up to launch, however there will be no class changes to mention before launch so you can reserve a character with the class you want based on the new awakening system!

Right now it just means that you need to do more dungeons in order to level.. since dungeons is like the only way to level (at least during the first few weeks) which gets really boring really quickly. It was way better when rifts were actually good exp so you had something to look forward to every 3rd hour. Now it just feels like an idle-game where you do your dungeons, quests and then go AFK until they're off CD again.

Appreciate the feedback and noted. Something the team is already exploring & have a plan, but we want to do something more than just retunining numbers, instead reimaging the possibilities for players to exp.

First off what an absolutely wild season so far, almost 2 weeks in and we're hitting 150-200 person queues on a weekday! Absolutely mad. It's amazing to see how much excitement and attention Dracona is getting, our last Dracona season hit a record of 430 online, we blew past that hitting 821 before the servers got overloaded!

We've been hard at work making further optimizations to hopefully allow for a higher amount of players to be online at once, and further reducing that queue, however our main focus is keeping the servers stable, online and as lag free as possible!

Dungeon Changes

You guys asked and we've listened! We will be reducing the recharge rate of dungeon charges from 4 hours to 8 hours, however, dungeons will now have 2x the rewards (experience and items). This ultimately means half the dungeon runs, same rewards. With this, we will also be reducing the amount of dungeon charges the dungeon furniture gives by 50% so it stays on par with the dungeon rewards.

We will be addressing a handful of primary balance issues, these will be updated Thursday so stay tuned!

Our half decade anniversary is here in Friday's Patch! Absolutely insane to think it's been over 5 years of Archlight already! This Archlight Anniversary will be action packed with some familiar community favorite activities (Cake throwing, Cake Eating Event & more)! Additionally, there will be over 13 new in-game obtained rewards for players to fight over!

We want to first off let all of you know know how much we appreciate the love and support you have showed us over the years! This era has been insane proof of our mutual love and support.

This latest NA Season was a big breakthrough for our team, showing the massive potential growth for Archlight as a whole. Breaking over 2x our previous NA Season record from this Spring, we were on track to break 1000 concurrent that day as well but due to server overload, had to immediately put in a 550 player queue. From there, we had huge queue's for 2 weeks, while of course queue's are not ideal, it shows how much hype and excitement the new season brought and the changes we made. We learnt alot from this on the development angle that the community is wanting to see, and we will be focusing on similar concepts for future Seasons and Expansions.

However, with that our primary goal is supporting more players on our servers. Archlights growth was massive, and we want to ensure next time we can fully handle that growth and then some!

As the community and support grows from the playerbase, our team is able to grow! Phoenix & Hajter are both joining the Archlight Team full-time! Hajter will be a full-time community manager available to assist in player concerns & help facilitate feedback to our development team!

Phoenix has officially left his full-time job, in which he would use his little free time to help Archlight religiously to join the Archlight Team full-time! Phoenix will be focusing on priority scheduling for the developers (making sure critical bugs are addressed immediately), growth of the Archlight Community & content development. Phoenix has more experience about Archlight as a whole than anyone in the team, him joining the project full-time will be a massive asset to the future of Archlight. With this, he will also be officially retiring his in-game character to avoid any potential bias.

Rufus will be moving to a full-time programmer position focusing on Bug-Fixes and Content Development. Having another full-time programmer on Archlight will not only ensure faster bug fixes, but also a much better stream of content development, balances, meta changes and far more! As you have already seen this season with some critical fixes and issues addressed and reloaded within hours to minutes! This will only further improve.

We are super excited about the new growth to our Team and what this means for the future of Archlight and we could not have done it without all of you and your support. Thank you from our entire team.

As mentioned before we are applying most of the full patches from Ildar to Dracona on Friday December 18th, around 9:30am PT.!

This patch will require a new client which we will release around 9:00am PT for download.
You will not be able to log in until the patch finishes if you try using this client.

This patch will bring a full Christmas quest line available for all Archlighters to partake in! This can be accessed from the green portal in the depot.

By completing this questline, you will become a citizen of Santa's town, receiving a Reindeer Companion (+2 to all stats) a new Christmas Knight Outfit (Tier 2 Hp/Mp Outfit!) and also a Christmas Letterbag (Potion/Rune Relic - Increasing the regen from potions/runes)!

Additionally, you can also obtain Large Christmas Presents for LAT's at the LAT Exchanger during the Christmas Event, while they have the exact same drop chance as Christmas Presents, they will give 2 rewards instead of 1. The color of the present does not change the rewards.

Dracona

  • Ogre Isle map is enabled and fixed the issue with teleport coordinates
  • Shockwave challenge in Sigil dungeons will now properly damage HP and Mana for the intended 15% of max life span
  • Shockwave challenge will now only start dealing damage 30 seconds after players join the dungeon.
  • Fixed an issue with the duplicated Lab Mutant/Crab spawn on Blackridge not working for the inter-dimensional potion
  • Insect hive dungeon has had missing no log-out tiles added to ensure proper kick on restarts
  • Poseidon's Protection has been temporarily disabled due to an issue. It will be enabled tomorrow.
  • Disabled Pharaoh's Tomb - Boss was not spawning due to a typo in the name file.
Sigil Dungeons
  • An Obelisk has been added at the start of each and every Sigil Dungeon. This Obelisk though requires at least sigil level 10 to be used.
  • Fixed an issue with Mini Bosses not spawning at the same instance.
  • Reduced scaling from Jungle Beach monsters.
  • Pharaoh's Tomb boss will properly spawn now.
  • Poseidon's Protection has been re-enabled.
  • Casino has been enabled for Gold gambling only.
  • Monsters damage has been lowered to be how it was before patch.

  • [Samurai] Yaten Blade - Wide Cut effect will now properly hit the player's target.
  • [Corsair] Call In The Militia has had its duration decreased from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. Vs reverting a recent buff in damage that lead to higher than intended damage scaling. With CDR the spell was able to achieve almost full uptime anyways.

  • [Sorcerer] Concentrate healing has been fixed. It was before healing much less than intended.
  • [Sorcerer] Arcaneblast - Arcane Missiles effect have had its missile interval changed from 1s to 0.5s.
  • [Samurai] fixed issues with Gyoten Blade, Shisui Blade and War Banners not consuming QI.
  • [Samurai] fixed an issue with Quick Button spells being spammed.
  • [Samurai] Yaten Blade - Wide Cut effect will now properly hit the player's target.
  • [Corsair] Call In The Militia has had its duration decreased from 30 seconds to 15 seconds. Vs reverting a recent buff in damage that lead to higher than intended damage scaling. With CDR the spell was able to achieve almost full uptime anyways.


Miscellaneous
  • [Team Boss Arena] fixed timer display on Quest Log and on using the lever. The cooldown was being counted properly, but the display was incorrect.
  • Sigil Equipment added speed to Jadis' Slippers, Ra's Shoes and Ox's Hooves.
  • Summons will now deal the correct amount of damage.
  • Reverted price change to Hellflayer drop items.
  • The ritual lord scaling has been cut in half to better match pre-patch. This will go to the intended scaling on a new era.
  • Fixed Necromancer's Auto Attack awakening effects description.

Dracona

  • Christmas event disabled
  • Fixed an issue with Enchanter set bonus it will not properly give you the 1% proc chance per piece and double this 1% when using a full set for a total of 8% bonus.
  • Yesterday an issue with Poseidon's protection counting healing as charging the spell for damage was fixed


Dracona

  • Removed stats scaling Poseidon's protection as it should be a direct effect from damage taken and scale on spell level vs stats at restart today.
 
Wednesday, January 27th the North American Server (Dracona) will be going offline for preparation for the New Dracona Season.

Wargates - PvP & PvE Content

Wargates are a new 1v1 PvP & PvE content coming to the new Dracona Season. By killing creatures in the world of Archlight, you will be able to obtain access to a wargate. Entering a wargate will generate a map with random traps, chests, creatures and bosses that are scaled to your strength. These creatures will drop a significant amount of experience, some of the chests will have wargates currency inside them (beware the traps!), and by killing the boss you will obtain a significant amount of wargates currency as well.

However, you are often not alone inside these wargates. Wargates have a chance to have an opposing gate-crusader inside them as well, fighting over creatures, chests, and the boss. While you will not always have an opponent when you are inside a wargate, if you do, they will be someone within your power bracket.

While a wargate may look similar, every wargate is a unique experience. Not only with the map, chest & traps, but also with Power Ups & Affixes. Power Ups can spawn when a creature inside the gate is killed, by standing ontop of the power up you will absorb it, strengthening you for 60 seconds after. There are 10 different Power Ups you can obtain, from causing healing reduction to your opponents to adding bleeds to any source of your damage done.

Affixes will be additional challenges to a Wargate that are generated when the Wargate is opened. Obstacles inside the Wargate that explode doing damage to nearby inhabitants, A crippling damage over time to everyone inside the Wargate, these are just a couple of the possible Affixes to keep each Wargate a unique experience.

Side Bonus: Killing Wargate Bosses also will contribute to the Wild Boss Achievement

While many forms of progression on Archlight currently have an element of randomization to them, wargate rewards will not! Wargate currency can be spent at the Wargate NPC on the second floor of the depot to get various progression or exclusive rewards! Here are a couple of the many rewards you are able to purchase with Wargates Currency.

Gem Exchange Token

Using this token on 7 gems will allow you to turn them into another Gem Type of your choosing.

New 3 Tier Universal (PvE) Spell

Tier 1
- Pulls all monsters around you into you.

Tier 2 - Paralyzes all monsters around you and prevents them from leaving your radius

Tier 3 - Deals large damage to all creatures around for you 5 seconds

Over Population has obviously been a large concern on Dracona in the last couple era's, last era actually forcing us to have a queue, which at peaks was around 8 hours long. Archlight is a very heavy server to run, with how customizable and interactive characters are, there are many many things to calculate and that can cause issues when we're hitting 800+ players. We have made dozens and dozens of improvements to hopefully mitigate these issues since last Dracona season, however, there is still only so much we can do without drastically changing/dampening gameplay.

While this system is not currently finished and will not be in for this Dracona season, we fully plan to have it in for the next or near future if before then. The reason we mention this is we feel it's important for the playerbase to know that we are actively working on a remedy to allow thousands to connect and play together, and wont be limited to queues and player caps.

Our layering system is very similar to what Blizzard implemented in World of Warcraft classic. Essentially, players will be able to play all off the same world, however, with multiple layers they can login to and play on seamlessly allowing them to switch layers depending who they are playing with. Yes, houses will be able to be interacted with no matter what layer you are on. This will also help address launch week craziness allowing for slightly less congested spawns on other layers (granted, each layer will still support minimum 600 players, so there still will be alot of craziness). Layers will only be available as they are needed however, so you will not be able to simply hop onto a layer with 50 people on it. This new system will allow thousands to play on one world at once!

All of Ramparts has been increased in width to allow for easier movement and killing.

The mob density has been reduced by 50% to make it less of a crawl.

Reward scaling has been increased at higher difficulties.

Health scaling at lower difficulties has been lowered

Health scaling at higher difficulties has been slightly increased.

Damage of creatures has been increased significantly (primarily to account for 50% decrease in creatures).

Fungus boss has been slightly nerfed

Overall all bosses other than fungus have been slightly buffed.

Sigil Dungeon Changes

Fixed an issue where Frost Shield didn't properly work on Sigil Dungeons.

Players will no longer get rewards if they don't partake in the boss fight.

Hive Set wasps received a speed boost.

Jadis equipments will no longer have a chance to draw Strength stat, as well as Ox and Ra will no longer have a chance to draw Intelligence/Focus stat.

Aaron will now buy sigil equipments for 50 forgotten gold.

Archbot Improvements

Re-added "use on self" healer option.

Fixed issue where Auto Haste executed even with the check box untoggled.

Soul Rune is now prioritize on the casting order.

Targetting now has a 10 tile range limit.

Miscellaneous fixes.


Misc Changes

Fixed issue with players getting stuck with temporary outfits.

Added a 5 seconds cooldown to "!mail" command.

Alchemy elixirs will now cleanse users.

Poseidon effects is now under "misc" options on client instead of player's.

Fixed an issue where ballistas could target companions inside Sieges.

Solo Misty Mountains bosses have had their health pool lowered.

On events like CTF and TDM, teams will now force enter a party.

Training Dummies will now properly display a player's DPS.

Fixed an issue where a spell from the boss Null from Team Boss Arena could still move players even when they got teleported back to the depot.

Fixed an issue where the bounty window wouldn't open.

Fixed miscellaneous issues with the new UI revamp.​
