New Map Editor

Yea! Main problem atm. is I don't have a Windows computer to compile on, only got OSX / Linux versions done. :P
Why thank you. Appreciation is never wrong.

You should at least provide me the source and I'll provide you full proper Debian Lenny - Squeeze / Ubuntu Lucid Lynx - Maverick Meercat - Natty Narwhal - Oneiric Ocelot packaging. The symlink for an ancient Boost release necessary for your current release pisses me off somethin' fierce. I use Boost 1.46.1 not 1.34.1. -.-

libboost_thread-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1 => /usr/lib/libboost_thread-gcc42-mt-1_34_1.so.1.34.1 (0x00007f9a62370000)
As for your apparently long standing 'autoborder' issue, rather than make some new complex interface, why not just keep something like "AUTOBORDER: MODE 1 / MODE 2 / OFF" in the status bar, and just use two sections in the XMLs? Seem very simple to implement, and with some Notepad++ or sed magic you could probably make the new configs in mere minutes. -.-

This is not a RME's map discussion thread, keep it on topic guys. In a few hours maybe days, there will come new screenshots.
Sorry for adding to it. But yeah, you have my full support. If there's anything you need help with, just PM me. I'm tired of waiting for feature support.

Question:
Would you like it like RME with item palettes etc or just 1 palette for all items?

item palettes but we can make the palettes ourselves dont waste time setting up the palettes. Code it so we can do it ourselves.

Alright, I'm still waiting for more answers, though. Some people cant even code C++

You can make palettes configurable via XML file. Just make a example and we do a rest.
Btw, when you add new screens? :$
Maybe 2marrow or in some hours, not sure. But I'm working on loading and saving maps right now. Right now 20% left of map drawing progress

nice to hear.
I would also say do it so we can configure palettes in xml for ourselves.

Yeah, just make the UI configuration all in XML like Remere's.

A few comments:
Copy and paste supporting house entryways is something Remere's fails to do.
Remere's has the default keyboard shortcut for toggling viewing only the current level as CTRL-W. This is epic fail.
Please support META aka SUPER. While I understand not using it for any default shortcuts out of courtesy for those still stuck in failaidsland (aka Windows), lets not cripple those of us who expect more from our machines. I have a 122-key workstation keyboard with 24 F-keys for a reason. CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-META-F24 opens OtLand.net for me, hahaha.
I do like Remere's 'scan for unseeable tiles' function, but sometimes wish I could add 'feathering' as it were, like an option to act as if the player could see 1 to 3 tile(s) farther.

While a whole lot to ask, of that I'm sure, it would be full of win and serve great justice to have a nice items.otb editor built into the map editor.

This map editor is going to be Boss! Keep going, if I don't see progress Ima beat yer ass! <<Read it in a Red-Necks voice! :p
