Windows 8.0 .dat in 7.6 client?

Hi!

I have made my Otserv use 8.0 data files with the 7.6 client. It works, but now I can't use any items.

How can I make the items work like they do with 7.6 data files?

items.otb 8.0
items.xml 8.0
Tibia.dat 8.0
Tibia.spr 8.0

What do you mean with can't use them ? Are you talking about weapons, equipment,.. something else ?
Ofcourse if it's weapons and equipment you will need to add the weapon scripts and the movements for equipment,.. "Equip", "DeEquip".

Rope, shovel, runes, ladders etc. They work when I use regular 7.6 dat and spr, but with 8.0 they don't work.

You need to change the signature in the .dat, .spr, .pic files

If I didn't do that they wouldn't load at all in the 7.6, or? Is there something I missed?

That is absolutely not what I want. Let me draw up two scenarios.

1. Tibia 7.6 client with 7.6 .dat/.spr:
I have an intense healing rune in my backpack. Right-clicking will bring up the targeting cross. If I then click myself I'll heal. I see a ladder, right-click it and I climb up. All sprites show as they should (in 7.6 graphics).

2. Tibia 7.6 client with 8.0 .dat/.spr:
I have an intense healing rune in my backpack. Right-clicking will yield a "Sorry, not possible". So I can't heal myself. I see a ladder, right-click it, but it doesn't work so I get eaten by rotworms. All sprites (that I have seen) show as they should (in 8.0 graphics).

Do you understand me better? I believe the problem lies in the .dat-file, but I can't seem to figure out the solution.

Ah yes now I get you. I had same problems before... not sure what solved it, I tested a lot of things and eventually it solved itself
