OtLand Now and the future

It is now over five years since OtLand was launched (fifth birthday was at 27th May, 2012), and we're still growing despite what may be happening to other OpenTibia websites. There is no reason for us to stop.

Today we have updated the forum software, some of our own plugins and the search engine. Some significant changes are:

• Activity stream
• Notification when receiving reputation
• Reputation comments tab in user profiles
• Double post prevention (posts will be merged if 24 hours haven't passed)

There are also many projects we should be looking forward to this year, the most promising one being otclient. This client will revolutionize OpenTibia and lift all the client-sided limits we have today, but it is not quite finished yet so I will let edubart announce otclient at a later time when it needs more public attention.

There will definitely be a full version release of The Forgotten Server 0.3.7 this year, and for those with stability in focus there will also be updates on to The Forgotten Server 0.2.

Other projects are still in a too early development stage to even be mentioned yet, but there's more being developed behind the scenes.

Too bad that my pc just wont start otclient(nor tibia client without forcing dx engine by commandline arguments)

about otland changes itself: well, I don't feel it or anything, just website goes down from time to time(or is it just my ISP?)

edit: Im playing with the sound atm. it works. But does it work if u want sound.mp3 to play at from pos x, y z, to pos x y z?
cuz There is only startup music atm

edit: when the music ends, its doesnt replay! maybe a function replay(0) or (1) to make that song replay if it ends?

RME seems to been brought into life again and the latest feature removes the need of us having to rely on someone else to get a mapeditor that works with the latest Tibia version.

This is a beta, don't expect everything to work.

Do not try to change map versions with it. It will break.

If you find any bugs, please report them either here or via twitter. Mainly changing are related to how client versions are handled (the editor won't need binary updates for new client versions in the future). So any feedback on loading older maps etc. is appreciated.

There is already a 9.54 otb, I have a 9.6 one too but I won't release it yet as it is not official. You can find the 9.54 otb in otserv, the map editor or the latest TFS 0.2.13 release.

I wouldn't create an otb yet, Tibia is still in test sever.
In fact, CipSoft is updating the sprites tomorrow.

That's why Talaturen is waiting until its officially released.

It's not that I don't want anyone else to have 9.6, it's because I won't release any files that may break your map because the final otb server id's might not match the otb created from testserver client data. What have you contributed to sit there with that attitude anyway?
