Okay we have come up with a new system for armors, but i would like a little feed back. please vote for the Old system, or new system.
OLD:
11 Tiers of helmets
11 Tiers of armors
6 Tiers of legs
4 Tiers of boots
For each armor class.
Armor classes:
Heavy armor - Based on Armor value, Physical % resistance, Max hp, high cap requirements .
Light armor - Based on Magical and Physical % resistance, walking speed, Regeneration.
Arcane armor - Based on Magical % resistance, max mana, low cap requirements.
NEW:
Most of the armors in the game are removed, Other then 24 Full armor sets, 8 for heavy, 8 for light, 8 for arcane.
These 8 armor sets per section make up 5 tiers of armor sets that eventually split off into unique sets that have set bonuses with unique effects.
The split off tree looks like this for each armor class.
......HEAVY ARMOR.............LIGHT ARMOR................ARCANE ARMOR
| | |..Tier 5 sets..............| | |..Tier 5 sets..............| | |..Tier 5 sets
.| |...Tier 4 sets...............| |...Tier 4 sets................| |...Tier 4 sets
..|....Tier 3 set..................|....Tier 3 set...................|....Tier 3 set
..|....Tier 2 set..................|....Tier 2 set...................|....Tier 2 set
..|....Tier 1 set..................|....Tier 1 set...................|....Tier 1 set
Tiers 1-3 sets armor/protection values based on the armor class Heavy, Light, Arcane (Based on the old system)
Tiers 4-5 Armor sets have a thing we call, set bonus. That trigger if wearing atleast 2 pieces of a set. wearing 3 of a set will increase the sets bonus, and 4 pieces make it even stronger. Or you may wear 2 pieces of 2 sets, for a moderate effect from 2 set bonus functions.
Some Examples of set bonus effects are as follows.
1. If standing still for x Seconds your character will go invisible untill you move
2. % Chance to null incoming damage
3. Reflect a % of damage received
4. Chance to revive self on death (has a cool down)
5. Chance to convert damage into unknown element.
This is just some examples of the unqiue effects that set bonuses can offer. 15 Set bonus effects in total, if combining 2 effects together their are approx 120 viable combinations of armor set bonuses.
Which system would you as the players, rather?
