Hey!

I would like to rent some small server to host my tfs project. The engine hasn't been hard modified, so let's say the server would need to be able to run original tfs 1.2 engine + database + zznote AccMaker Site (or I should use another serv for the website?). The number of players will be 20-30 max (or even less).

The intention of renting the server is getting experience with its administration and making the game open for some players to checkout for errors/bugs.

The operating system could be both windows or any unix. How much RAM and what processor I would need~ for my requirements? (Will be there big price difference for 10/20/30 max players?)

I would like to ask You for some suggestions.

A list of some good host providers:

If your map is small, you can probably get away with a cheap VPS server with 1-2GB ram from one of those hosts.

https://www.kimsufi.com/en/vps-ssd.xml

VPS SSD 2 (€5.99/month)
OpenStack KVM
1 vCore
2.4 GHz
4 GB RAM
20 GB SSD

Should be plenty for a small rl map server.

VPS SSD 1 (€2.99/month)
OpenStack KVM
1 vCore
2.4 GHz
2 GB RAM
10 GB SSD

Plenty for a small custom map server.
Dont ever host using Windows. Since you dont specify the map I guess you dont care. So any cheap 15/mo server can hadle what you need

Windows is generally not used for serious hosting. And if you just want to test, why not test on a local machine at home?

+1 for this. There is no test you can run on a rented server that you can't run on your home PC. What's more, if you can't run it on your home PC, you're going to have a very difficult time with running a server remotely.

Can anyone post some example offerts ?

We have no idea where you live, what you need, what you can run, what you understand or what you are trying to accomplish. So, offering advice might be a bit premature.
