Creativity - Post your mapping ideas

Trying different things with the waterfall rocks + magic wall + mountain. Looks like only the masterest of sorcerers could pull this off.

Ps. Idk how to make gifs but I can loop a video.

Making an entire 3 minute long video, for this. Was that really necessary?

@Neon I didn't think someone would watch the whole 3 minute video when I explicitly said it was a looped video. Maybe I was mistaken?

@2Rec Hahah I'm sorry man. Next time I will use the gif program.

Worr, you're very original with your new ideas and concept. I like it, keep it up!

I like it a lot, it adds the feeling that the river has a bigger impact after the bridge.
You know like when a river sometimes has more water, because of rain and stuff... pretty realistic :-D

Not sure if that was intentional?

@Silverstone Well the intention was originally just to give the river a clear direction (traveling downhill, with a visible height difference) and then I started messing around with the blockage and the rest is just coincidental. :p

Very minor, but stairs in corners always bothered me. Just leaving an empty square behind the stair often looks a little awkward so typically the solution is to make a second framework wall to support the wall. There is really no practical issue here, but thematically it makes no sense to have double layer of framework walls. Why would you not just leave the frame naked on the inside as just a normal supporting structure of the stair?

(Edit: Some of these won't work)

The reason that I started out with the framework corner wall piece is to make the square the stair non-walkable. Btw you can probably find some doodad/item to hide in the nook like we all do with stairs with open frameworks.

Corrected version:

(Thx to @2Rec for pointing it out).

This is probably the best you can do without editing your Tibia files (is it .dat or items.otb maybe?) For 7.6 sprites I prefer a marble wall and then the wooden archway piece behind it. I realize that might not match up well with the different colors of the updated sprites though.

One of that archway pieces will disappear in the game i guess.
You cant place 2 archways together.

Don't really see the point in it, it's not like you are going to decorate that corner tile with whatever space it reveals. You'd still be better off with a corner wall in my opinion ;)

Well the idea has no practical use. I guess it's just to cover up an inherent flaw in the 2D perspective of Tibia. If you walk through a room (irl) you can visualize the space you're walking through and if you see a door you can visualize another room/wardrobe etc behind it. But you would never look at a wall and randomly envision a small, empty hole somewhere behind the wall, even though it might exist in certain places.

The 2d perspective can be useful when you use it on purpose to hint a secret room or to decorate a cave outside of what would realistically be visible. In the case of the typical corner stair it's just a flaw imo. Like you say it adds nothing.

Working on a quest concept where you have to investigate the snake's nest. Note that you can't see the body if you look from the outside.

Edit: The idea of course being the stone snake.
