I remember when one of my friends told me to invest in bitcoin when they were 5$ each..... glad I can sit here and say I bought as many as I could. JK I cri myself to sleep every night thinking about the money I could of made

do you regret saying that?
Nah. Bitcoins and other stupid crypto-currencies are just wet dreams of techno-hipster who thinks that EVERYTHING can be replaced by non-physically technology. It's with all of those retards who are doing house renovation with smartphone apps instead of physical level and yardstick :D They think they are so smart and make their life easier but in the end they run crying to professionals to undo their mess :D

We also live in world where objects like coins, bank notes, books, etc. are much more "durable" than zero-one data on disk drives and independent from infrastructure access to some cloud data centers.
Don't confuse progress with stupid wet dreams of techno-hipster in which rules of physics changes and fragile data storage technology is becoming much more durable than piece of metal alloy - coin.

Hello...

I don't like talking about my finances too much but anyway.

I do use BTC, in fact I'll be getting my BTC card for online and real life purchases soon.

I do mining (ETH, soon switching to ZCash and BTG for testing purposes).

I do investing in crypto-currencies too with "startup mindset" which means I only invest in the projects and not in short-time returns.

Other than that, I also use crypto to make my life easier when dealing with money and is convenient, like sometimes it's cheaper to buy / sell stuff, or do to transfers / payments etc...

I'm not user of Bitcoin but I know it's a big thing in today financial industry. I heard some country prohibit the usage of Bitcoin because it goes against definition of currency and it not an accepted trading method.

Bought before 6 years 3 bitcoins. Good choise i didnt know what to do with them. Nowdays im happy I did it.

Has to do with the government not being able to regulate it. You can trade with w.e the hell you want, lul.

Nah. It's about competition. If bitcoin will try to be major player in financial sector then a lot of governments, especially of very aggressive countries like People's Republic of China, will just shut it down with their cyber intelligence departments.

The irony is that bitcoin is decent "collectible" item, but it is not protected by any institution with military or intelligence, so when bitcoin users will push it into more general use, it will start to compete with actual currencies and quickly it will be destroyed or overtaken by different political powers.

That's right, it is rising as a competition, as one of Bitcoin's advantage is its freedom in payment, not restrained by countries – or even continents and no complicated exchange rate is applied. There is no currency in the world could be like that, so Bitcoin challenges the conservative governments, they will have to either accept or prohibit the use of it. There is even more debate/information about Bitcoin out there and I just find it interesting to follow up with its development.

Guys... Current currencies are backed up by governments with military forces, police forces, intelligence services, cyberintelligence services, etc.
The most retarded things all of You can do, it to antagonize governments by constantly repeating how much better the BitCoin is. You don't have ANY chance with fighting them.

Don't push it into the role of actual currency, because they will mash all of you into pieces. Keep it as that fancy/expensive collective item.

Also, I'd love to debate or ask you why you think unquestioned power is a good thing, but I don't think this is the right thread.

Also, glad to see LTC rising. LTC to the moon!

Can someone enlighten me on how to exchange Bitcoins to an actual currency that can be used in todays world, outside the internet?

As in making transactions without the internet? Probably knowing a person who has them and buy them straight up cash ??? Then again, how do you wish to receive/sell them without internet? xd
