I got the files as well and was told not to release them. But since neither of us who possess the files are the creator, and the creator himself is not using them anymore, maybe it would make sense to publicize them?

Sure. You didn't want people to have the files, so I didn't publish them in public.

You can do it if you want, I'm not doing it.

Publishing the files will just create chaos, first of all no one will be able to even use these, you'll then see a mass of shitty-money-grab servers using files once a tutorial is released. We've got enough of those otservers around and I told everyone that have got the files in their hands to not give them away, not even for cash, for the good of this community, I've been trying to give back, at least for the people who praise the oldschool tibia, a good server which isn't built on a loop of corruption, cash-grab & resets.

So far we're doing good on it and I wish to keep it at this rate.

@Sorn: I gave you all the hints you need to compile this dll, sadly if you want to have these files running you'll have to learn how to compile them yourself, just as probably everyone else that has these had to go through, it's not easy at first.

as I see in the files-timestamp: Elfbot and Lofty will both work due to missing encryption (A bit of work is indeed needed yet if you want to block them).

See you around :)

They add to the main Tibia Client (vanilla 7.72) the following features: Camera Recorder & Player, FPS & Ping to the host is shown, you can walk with WASD, Auto-Trade-Messages, Mana-Bar and Experience per hour shown on the Title, nothing more than that on the original source.

Greetings
Okke

@Erexo : No, not with that, that piece of software wasn't inteded to be shared at all at first, it's not licenced to be shared or whatever.

It wasn't intented to be sold either, when I've ask for nastarius library just for educational purposes I've been told that they won't show the code even for money.
Also this is painful to watch that person that don't have a clue how to compile that powerful library possess it, but this is common in this community so I got used to it :D

it's not any close to powerful, it's rather simple injection and a lot of rev-engineering and assembly to get values and a little bit of drawing, nothing more than that at the point it's been distributed.

I haven't done much to reverse engineering on my version of it (I have the files for over an year and I've done a lot to them), I can tell there is at least 1 hour to maximum of 3 hours spent in reverse engineering for getting values, basically movements like arrow keys or sending texts on text-channels, gathering the value of health, mana and a few other things that get passed onto the client like the account number which was back then used for encryption and nothing else, that's it.

What do you mean by chaos? The sources are already shared beyond the point that they can be considered unique. And cash-grab servers do exist, but only temporarily, and their success is in the end determined by the players. So good/bad, I don't know, but keeping the sources from the public wont last in the long run as they are already shared.

I'm not asking for help from people who don't have the files.
They were not the cheapest files. I'm asking help from others who bought them.
Out of curiosity, how much did you pay for them? I didn't know you wanted them so bad, I could actually have shared them with you for free. But I was under the impression that you had already solved the issues with your client.

it's a freakn client, why do you care so much @Okke ..

btw @ond ask the creator before you decide to release them. that feels like the right thing todo regardless if he uses it or not.

I actually don't care if these are dll sources, or any other distribution (like 0.4, which has been kept from public non-paying otland users). It's about the act of giving these away for granted and actually knowing that people will use such to generate money over the community, which by now has suffered a hell of a damage by having to first play these servers in order to find out that shit isn't and that they got either scammed or unfairly treated, as I said, I'm just trying to keep bad minds from doing bad stuff to this community, that's all, not trying to wear a cape, just being fair.

It's not that I care about the DLL or the Client or any distribution, as far as everyone that knows me knows that I care about each single oldschool player, that's all.

Actually I would love to see and compile it but for testing only, anyways as @Okke says
