I dont understand why there would be a joining fee to enter a dungeon..
Also why is there a reward from the NPC after and not from the bosses itself?
Can more than one team be in the same dungeon - Will dungeons be Micro-servers just for 1 team or is the dungeon in the server itself and can only hold 1 team at the time? hope you understand what i mean

These things are subject to change - thank you for your input - we definitely will consider it.
More groups can be in the “same” dungeon at the same time.

As we have expanded our team we will start doing weekly news about development in the near future.

As for the main post data - its very outdated - we plan an overhaul in the upcoming days.

Also, we are looking for a storyline developer - please pm us!

Hey guys!

It's been a while since I was active on Otland but as most of you might already know,
I joined Thanatos as a mapper, so have Eiserne Festung and GhostX.
Together and under the great leadership of HalfAway and Jacobs we proceed way faster than the project could before.
As a result of that we decided to inform you about the latest achievements and what's coming next by weekly status reports.

For those of you who don't know me already:
My name is Leonard, I am from Germany and live in a wonderful city named Heidelberg where I work as Cyber Security Consultant.
I do tibia related stuff for almost 13 years now and started mapping actively 10 years ago, with some longer and shorter breaks between.
In addition I started programming at the age of 12 and built up an advanced knowledge in C++, C#, JAVA and Python.
Even tho I really like coding in my freetime and for a personal use, I always prefered mapping over it regarding the OT scene.
For more information just get in touch with me. :)

So finally... It's my honor to begin with our weekly status reports.

Since I have joined Thanatos three weeks ago, my task was to finish Rookgaard, revamp the existing parts and to develop some hidden questlines.
This task is now almost done and I am happy to present you some screenshots to tease you some impressions. (More will follow soon)

Today I am going to show you some basic images of the city and some surrounding nature.

What will I do in the upcoming weeks?

At the moment, not all sidequests are 100% done, however, those will be finished within the next week. Afterwards, I'll be heading over to the mainland, where I've got to fix some bugs, revamp certain areas and create some brand new areas aswell.

Kind regards
Blackstone

Something that I always look for in a server is rewarding those who decide to explore and think outside the "box". Having hidden passages, is what takes my attention. I'm pretty sure you know what I mean, so I'm really looking forward to it. ^_^ PS: I remember Thronar used to have a lot of container rewards spread out around the world, that would give many players the incentive to explore everything, you saw a corpse, you clicked on it.. you saw a box, you clicked on it.. you saw a flower pot, you clicked on it, etc. :) Keep up the great work.

Hello my friends and strangers!

It's been a while for me aswell since I was active on Otland ... but perhaps a few still remember my name, or my maps ;).

For those of you who don't know me already: My name is Hannes , I am from Germany aswell and live like Blackstone in a wonderful city... though it's called Nuremberg.. way cooler than Heidelbeg!!.. I work as a Carpenter buiding indoor furniture as well as dealing with CNC machines and construction drawings.

I've been doing tibia related stuff for almost 12 years now and started mapping actively 10 years ago (which was kinda the date I first met Blackstone Mapping Buddies 4ever <3), with some longer and shorter breaks inbetween. So ... It's my honor to continue with our weekly status reports. Since I have joined Thanatos like 2 weeks ago, my task were to finish/revamp the existing parts and helping out on Rookgaard aswell. Since Rookgaard is a blink away of being called finished it's time to focus on the main continent now. So let's continue with some screenshots!

You guys are showing some impressive progress, really interesting project. Makes me happy that there are still projects like this one.

Hey lads!

Since map isn't the only thing we're working on, I'd like to show off a bit from our new site and give a bit of insight.

My name's Jakub (Jacob), coming from Slovakia, working as backend developer (tl;dr I accidentally delete live databases and outsource PHP coding to India)
Once I've gotten my hands onto the website, I've realised that ZnoteAAC is quite.. messy and limiting in many ways.
By that I don't mean it's not good, or useful, but for my taste, the way code was written is hard to understand and veery messy, since it used the.. old way of putting everything into one file.
NOT to say ZnoteAAC shouldn't be used by anyone, definitely go ahead, it's one of the best things to have happened to the community.

I felt like I couldn't write clean code - the PHP it uses is outdated and it's not object-oriented programming.

Aand so that's when I decided to start working on my own AAC, currently named ThanaAAC.
ThanaAAC is built on Laravel, which is "The PHP framework For Web Artisans"
It's modern, expandable, responsive, clean, easy to understand.

One of my main intentions with it is to be compatible with existing scripts - it uses Znote's database schema, only expanding upon it with a few custom tables and columns here and there.

The current layout is based on our client's style:

And.. to add.. one of my main goals is to have mobile support:
wgmz0d.jpg

There's more to show, very soon.

There's a big task left ahead and that's Forums, but once that is done, there's only a few things to do and the site is ready to go.
ThanaAAC is currently private and will stay private for a good while, I am currently undecided whether to release it to the public or not at some time. Change my mind.

You prolly know this but, you can also take a look at (and steal things from) BitAAC made by @Cornex to see how some things are created. :)

Looking good!
